726 South Kihei Road, Kihei“Loko i'a, Hawaiian fishponds, are unique aquaculture systems that exist throughout Hawai'i, and continue to feed and connect communities around the islands.I have been following in the footsteps of Uncles Kimokeo Kapahulehua and Vicente Rubio in revitalizing the fish pond. Every pohaku (stone) is laid by hand, no machines. If you go to visit this fish pond you will likely see one or more of us working on the wall. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the fish pond and be respectful to the sea life that are there.”
“Mostly furniture, but there are special sections for plumbing, tools, paint, lighting (very good), doors, etc. The pricing on the furniture can be high - look for Orange stickers - half price. I needed a replacement mirror door for a closet. The one remaining door had a CW sticker with a serial number. It came from Home Depot. I went to Home Depot on the instructions of CW (Contractors Warehouse) who couldn't help. After a few days, HD called back and said I'd have to buy the whole 2 mirrored door unit - $300+. Went to HH next day, found the door, excellent condition - $10. Really - $10. Fit perfectly, adjusted the rollers w a Phillips screwdriver, and learned a lesson. So Habitat on Lower Main Street in Wailuku has some great deals, and the staff are really solid. And you know what you do pay goes to good work. Shop carefully, wisely, test stuff, plug in electrical things, try them - there are no returns. Lots of artists & crafts people pouring through the prints, frames, artist's supplies. Be nice to the staffers. jld”

“This facility is well organized and the programs that I have tried are very effective. The processes can be stressful for highly sensitive people, but overall I think this place is a great place to receive treatment.”
“Family Life center basically has saved my life. I was living in my car for four months and not only did they help me get out of my car, they found me a place to live in Kihei. Of course this is a miracle. Nicole especially is truly like/is an angel , I really mean that . She's uncommonly compassionate and sincere. Eva the manager is also very kind and takes care of things quickly. Everyone at Family Life Center is very professional. Gary J. "Uncle". ( Kihei, Maui )”
