They did not have the beer and liquor we were originally looking for but they did have the water and Kleenex that were needed. Best of all, they were extremely friendly and made the day so much better!

Refrigerated foods outdated and low stock of all foods. needed better service not so friendly cashier person with that big afro curled up like a birds nest grouchy looking if there not happy with there job in ka'u longs move on to another city's longs or just quit get another job.

Lady with the hair up in a head wrap seemed rather unfriendly, not sure who she is, grew up in Pahala never seen her before. But personal feelings aside, it might help to put a smile on your face and have some semblence of 'customer service.' Wether you've see a person daily or once in your life, especially in a small town pharmacy, it counts to be kind. No job is that serious...
In regards to the store, I remeber being in High school there at Ka'u High when it opened. Today the Longs here in Pahala seems pretty under stocked, a bit untidy with dust build up, broken tag clips, unkept/barren shelves and bits of trash about the carpeted floors. All in all this Longs serves its purpose to the community in way of access to medications rather than driving to Hilo/Kona, but could do with stocking up in their small grocery section, esp with the already limited selection at Mizunos.

Two days in a row there has been no pharmacist so they don’t open!!! Can’t pick up my prescription… good thing it’s not dire! What will people whose lives depend on their meds do??

Has to be the worlds smallest Longs Drugs. They need to expand! "You walk in the first time and say "Where is the rest of the store???This store could support residents Oceanview, Naalehu, and Pahala if they offered more.Don't expect much other than the basics and to get a prescription filled.

Very small longs drugs but seems to have a good selection of items. No fresh foods but the superette next door has some if you need it. We got there at 1:52 and found they were closed for lunch. If you need something this place probably has it.
