They stole the tire sensor when I confronted them about it they said they didn't and 10 minutes later my central light goes off on the screen of my car on the tire that I told them that they took it off of it because that was the tire that they changed and when I saw the tire they changed and I realized it didn't have that sensor on it they didn't want to own up to it. Thieves

Second negative experience with this company (previous one was with Hilo shop, they inspected brake fluid level as full and when I asked why it is not full, they answered what not authorized to perform it. If you are not authorized, why you marks it as full/normal? Level was lower and I knew about it.). Well, new story. I brought them wheel to repair. I did not ask about any extra services, just repair of flat tire, put air and balance it. But they charged for extra TPMS service. And described it like they replaced some parts there. My car even does not have TPMS system. And I did not brought car to them, as it marked below, so they were unable relearn TPMS sensor at all. Guys from Lex Brodie's, please refund back my money and explain me, why you doing this?Added 03/19/2024. Money returned, thanks

I made an appointment for an alignment and when I went to check in, they apparently didn’t put me on the schedule but assured me it was no problem. After waiting an hour I noticed that my car was still in the lot… I went to the counter to ask about timing because the whole reason I made an appointment was to be able to schedule my day. When I originally made the appointment they had told me I would be there probably around 1-1.5 hrs total for the work. When I asked what was going on the person at the counter told me that the alignment machine was being occupied because there was a car in front of me - I wish they just told me that at the beginning that they wouldn’t be able to get me in for a while, I could’ve rescheduled my appointment or come back later. At this point I was still willing to wait and went to go get a drink, seeing that my car still in the lot, and then got a phone call 20 minutes later that it was all finished.I was pretty suspicious because I was told it would probably take an hour to do the service and this 20 min turn around seemed impossible. They gave me some print out of my alignment and when I drove away the vehicle didn’t feel any different, and the steering wheel was still crooked. I went ahead and went to another Lex Brodie’s in Hilo and they had it on the rack for over an hour and had a lot of adjusting to do. I feel like these guys just took my money and didn’t do anything. Luckily the Lex Brodie’s in Hilo honored it and we’re willing to do the work without charge to compensate for the pahoa crew.Pretty frustrating, especially since I’m pregnant and I need a safe vehicle to drive let alone don’t need to be screwed out of $100+ for nothing. I don’t trust these guys- I’ll never be going back .

I have had two bad experiences there would NOTRecommend them !First time I went to get a valve stem they would not sell me one !The next time my friend and I when’s to get an inspection we had called the day before and they said come at 8:30 first come first servedWe got there at 8:15 and they said that it would be over an hour and a half before we could get an inspection, even though we where the first ones .

If you are using their auto repair services, you absolutely WILL pay more here. These guys diagnose and will say that you need way more done than what your car actually needs to get back running again. I can understand that they may be trying to cover themselves, but in my opinion, I think they are crooks. I had an oil leak and they quoted me $3000. My dad is a mechanic (on the mainland) and got them to only do what he felt it needed to get back running (which was instead a $900 job). Once completed, it still had a leak from the solenoid gasket (a $26 part!) but they instead said that it needed more than that and quoted me an extra $1000 to complete the job on top of the $900 already paid. My dad said "No! Get your car out of there and find a decent mechanic to change that one part!"As I was literally leaving Lex Brodies Pahoa parking lot, my car began to over heat (unrelated to what I had done)! I made it just in time to Mike's Auto Repair across the street. A hose busted and coolant was leaking everywhere (not sure if this was just a coincidence.. but I was upset that Lex Brodies didn't see this coming and point it out to me). Mike took me in right away, changed the hose and also adhesed the solenoid gasket to hold me over until the part came in 4 days later. Once the gasket came in, Mike changed it right away and it ended up costing me $149 to get my car back running. $149 dollars!! When Lex Brodies was trying to get an added $1000 dollars out of me. These guys at Lex Brodies are young too, so you're paying way more for less experienced mechanics. I'm good! They won't be getting anymore money from me. These guys are way overpriced and extremely overrated! Go to Mike's Auto Repair! He won't rob you like these guys will.

12/8/2023 So went in 30 minutes before closing ,as they were already preparing to close, with a tire puncture. The specialist at the counter was sweeping the lobby, there were no other customers, he did come out to check my tire and stated that he didn’t know if it could even be repaired. He went into the garage/service area to get the tire specialist who was already in the back of the building and didn’t even come out to assess if tire could be repaired or not so the counter specialist offered to sell/order me a new tire without out any knowledge of needing replacement. I was very disappointed and disheartened by the lack of professionalism and commitment to service. I’ve been a customer for years and have depended on this shop for my personal vehicle and for the my company vehicle. No more!
