As a faithful Yelp Elite Reviewer, I always refer to Yelp for reviews and choices and has always had successful results! Here is another review which i am pleased to write on Sons of Aloha Moving. Christopher is the owner and very personable and able. My husband and I needed someone which we can rely and felt comfortable to help us move from our old 2 story home of 32 years to our new 1 story home. Chris came over and we walked him through the packed boxes and how we organized each room. He quickly understood and saw the layout and what we organized the move. We had a process to our move which will help us unpack at the new location. Chris emailed me his estimate and it was best estimate compared to the other estimates by far. What i found is other estimates would charge AND ADD additional charges like rental use for their equipment, hourly/fuel charges from the moment the leave their ofc location, etc. Chris just charged us the straight hourly and fuel, and none of the additional. On the night before our scheduled move, we had to call Chris and postphone the move a week later. Chris was totally understanding and got back with me in 2 days with another date. Day of our move, Chris provided us total of 4 men (including himself) and charged us or 3. Anthony, Zero, and Travis were all wonderful and former classmates/brothers of Chris. Brought a truck with a lift. Provided extra boxes (if needed), protective quilted blankets for furniture and fragile items. They immediately went to work with Chris overseeing the move. When heavy furniture or boxes from our 2nd floor were transported to the truck, they LIFTED it never scratched the stairs or hardwood flooring. The guys were all funny, positive, and high spirited. When they had a question, they always checked with Chris. My husband and I are very organized and was laid to rest to see how efficient and effective these guys operate! The guys are young, strong, respectable, and with a great sense of humor. I cannot say enough how pleased we were especially trusting them to handle an important event as in moving our household. If you want an honest and reliable company, i give them 5+ stars SONS OF ALOHA MOVING. If You try to contact Chris and he is not able to call back immediately, try again. His company is worth the wait and i know they are busy and often working and unable to return calls till later. Christopher is one man running the company so please be patient as he will deliver. Great Company, Local Guys, Movers, Efficient, Trustworthy, and with POSITIVE ATTITUDE! Accept credit cards and I would highly recommend them without a doubt. Way to go Christopher and his excellent team of movers!!! Much Aloha and wishing them continued success. Mahalo

-Bad Communication -Showed with only two movers when stated that he would send three especially when one of the movers was his first day on the job. Slowing down the job since the other mover had to keep telling him what to do. -Movers stopped at 7-11 to eat while charging me $125/hour. -Tried charging me and extra hour for travel time to the job and travel time back to their yard when website clearly states they charge only from when they arrive at location. -Didn't inform me that they write down all your credit card information and take it with them to charge later. When I refused they let me pay by Venmo but tried to charge me a extra 3% fee. Total charge was $696.00 to move 1 queen bed with headboard, 2 nightstands, 1 dresser, 1 tv, 2 lamps, 1 sofa, 1 small table w/4 chairs and 3 small boxes and move out one sofa. I waited to see if they would be honest about stopping to eat and take it off the bill but they didn't. I had to bring it to their attention. I also don't think it's right that they train their employees on your dime basically stretching out the time. Very disappointed and would suggest shopping around. -

Sons of Aloha did an awesome job! When trying to find movers for a local move, I started looking for recommendations through military spouse groups! Sons of Aloha was mentioned quite a few times, so I reached out for a quote and was contacted the next day. Chris and his crew provide great pricing and efficient service. We had a lot of large furniture and they made our move so much easier! Definitely recommend!

Never needed a mover on Oahu, searched and found Sons of Aloha, Chris owner was quick to return call, very professional, I am scheduling at present and look forward to doing business with him, Its always nice to give business to a local resident who provides good service. There prices are very competitive and fair compared to other Big Name Moving Companies on Oahu!

Sons of Aloha made moving a breeze. Just tell them what you want moved and SNAP! They are incredibly efficient - Chris delegates and the team executes. Not only is Chris a stellar communicator with his partners but also with customers and building staff - he tracked down the building manger and reserved an elevator before I could blink. Beyond great service, Sons of Aloha also came equipped with 5-star attitudes - the guys were friendly and talkative but ultimately focused on getting the job done quickly, carefully, and efficiently. Look no further - these are your movers!

I was contacted on line by the owner. Thought this was a great opportunity to support a black business. Got a quote by phone and thought it was reasonable. They missed the first appointment. The second appointment they came and pack everything up, but then tripled the price of the quote. By this time all my things were packed and I had no choice but to pay over 1200 to move things to storage. The storage place they recommended is an old bunker. The company had a person who cursed me out and called me a b***** Accused me of owing more. I had to show the partner my debit showing that I paid in full...the partner apologized and was kind but it took multiple calls to try to arrange seeing my things. Found out half my stuff was dumped outside of the bunker. Long story short...it was the worst experience I have ever had with movers.

I would recommend Sons of Aloha Movers to anyone who is moving and needs a great moving company. They responded to our call very fast . Quoted us very fast and very reasonable rates. They are very fast, professional, efficient and courteous. They will always be the company I'm using for all my moves. Thank you Chris and Sons of Aloha Movers.

We enjoyed supporting a locally owned an operated business. Chris and his team were timely, efficient, and cost effective. We would definitely utilize them again, they even helped us trash a few other pieces. Highly recommend. Even considering the heat, and amount of worm they managed to also work safely i.e wearing mask etc. What was thought of as a daunting task, was made easy, thanks to Chris and his crew.

It's been about 3.5 years since we last used these folks to help us with our move. We were living in a 4 story apartment building that was a walk up. Thanks to Chris, Zero, and Tony they were able all of our big items with ease. They brought down a massive futon couch, bed and box spring, tv stand and 65 inch TV in no time at all. They even did it while wearing certified masks. They also got all of our boxes packed securely and we were in our new unit in no time. If you need movers then look no further for fast, friendly and reliable service

Could not recommend them enough. Easy to communicate with, showed up and within two hours had a complete move with an appt to come back and reassemble things and organize a bit. These guys are great, they helped us move into our new home. They are way more affordable than all the other competitors that we had quotes from and they did an excellent timely job . Don't hesitate on choosing these guys for any of your hauling/moving needs.

If you ever need an awesome mover...I would highly recommend Chris and this company. He responds quickly, he's reasonable, professional and fast. He keeps contact, is transparent and honest. PLUS! he tries to work within ur budget. All I can say, when they show up...STAY OUT OF THE WAY! This guy was flying and he was going up and down steps. They packed it, wrapped it and got it from Kaneohe to Honolulu in the budgetted time. I will not go to anyone else if we ever move again. If I know of anyone moving...call these guys. You will NOT be dissappointed much less worry @ being ripped off.
