Our visit to Mililani Mauka Veterinary Hospital was a scary one. Our baby of 14 years fell seriously ill the night before. When my husband called, they told us to bring Malia in right away. When we arrived, they took Malia directly to the back to give her a full checkup. Turned out that our babies condition was more serious than expected. We had to come to the decision to put our baby girl to sleep. The doctor was so compassionate and supportive. She walked us through everything that would take place. I couldn't believe that this was happening. Hubby was strong enough for both of us. He held Malia and talked with her until she took her last breath. We just cried together. Even though this was an emotional moment, the staff provided us with exceptional service. Amazing experience showing love and kindness to us when we needed it most. Mahalo!

Mililani Mauka Vet Clinic is a gem! Everyone was so kind and made me feel so much less anxious about my sick, senior pet. They fit me in, were prompt, and really took their time explaining everything. I thought their prices were incredibly reasonable as well. I'd consider us new loyal customers/patients

We recently took our older cat to the Mililani Mauka Veterinary clinic based on a recommendation from a friend after we had an unpleasant experience with a different Veterinary Clinic. The MMVC was very clean and the staff was friendly, prompt, and accommodating from start to finish. Although it was busy, with many adorable pets and their owners coming and going, our wait time was only a few minutes. Our cat's history, weight, and initial pre-exam was smoothly conducted by the assistant and she was very kind to us and our cat. I should probably mention that our cat was VERY stressed-out from the car ride! Dr. Furutani was very focused during her exam and she listened patiently to all of our concerns. She answered all of our questions and provided knowledgeable suggestions and options. She handled our cat in "just the right way" which I am specifically mentioning because.. well.. if you have a cat you probably know how particular they can be! You can feel when someone is not a cat person but I never got that impression from anyone at the MMVC. The MMVC staff and Dr. Furutani's personable demeanor and professionalism made our visit enjoyable. I would highly recommend Dr. Furutani and the Mililani Mauka Veterinary Clinic.

During my routine pet annually visit, Inquired with the receptionist about possibly getting medication for my dog for noise from fireworks in case I might be interested. However rather than provide me the cost which is why I requested for. That day I was sent home with the fireworks medication for my dog so quickly I didn't even realize what was going on. When I checked my vet bill it was 50 for the medication that I wasn't even sure I was going to use because my dog is usually not upset by fireworks. This was pretty upsetting. I called and received extremely bad service from the reception staff when I asked about returning the unused medication. Fast forward 4 months later, I called to ask a question about my other dogs medication and was asked to hold. I replied sure. I was left on hold for 8 minutes?! I have never waited more than a couple minutes as they usually aren't that busy. Mind you this is first thing in the morning at 9:30 am. Once I realized how long I was listening to hold music I hung up and called back and was asked to hold by a different (familiar) woman. I told her I was just on hold for 8 mins and she said oh actually I can take your call now.?? She asked for my dogs name and said not the last name (I'm assuming because they have caller I'd). I then casually asked if this had anything to do with wanting to return the medication from before. She quickly responded oh I'm so sorry I don't know why I didn't see you on hold earlier? Me and the gentleman working here didn't see any one on hold on any of our lines. Which I thought was funny because she just told me I needed to be put on hold? I then asked how I would be able to switch vets because the service we were receiving was not what I have to come to expect from my past experiences because at one time when Sara f. and the old reception staff were there it was a great office atmosphere and the customer service was excellent. I am sad to say I will not be returning and will miss our vet due to the actions of the poor front staff. ;(

Our entire family has been going to Mililani Mauka Veterinary Clinic since they opened. Their new building is gorgeous and they are the only clinic on the island with an underwater treadmill! The vets are simply amazing. So much compassion, empathy, and love for all animals. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

OMG - I wish this vet was closer to town. I am a new client of theirs and I'm so happy that i inquired about Mililani Mauka. They are located off the freeway - don't really trust the google maps/directions because it'll take you into random housing. They are located in some kind of shopping complex just off the freeway - just make sure you make the turn into the driveway. Their building was literally built from the ground up by doctor Furutani. I literally waited 3 months for a physical therapy consultation. You'll need to have your vet submit all your dogs records and x-rays before they consider you as a possible applicant. They're also the only vet on the island with an underwater treadmill. Their consultation was about $200 and lasted about 3 hours. The first session was a "get to know your dog" They did a few exercises, acupuncture, laser therapy and saw how she walked and did some measurements. I had to come back again for the treadmill trial another day which took about an hour and was no charge. The ladies there are excellent and patient. I even got to stay in the room with my dog to see her treatments. Their facilities are very clean, modern and spacious. There's even some out door areas for the dogs, and you can play in their fenced area prior to your appt near the parking lot.

I was referred to them for my pet chicken ( Bella) because her normal vet at Feathers and Fur were closed. Found out Dr. Furutani is no longer there and they don't have any Avian vets anymore. Sorry for the 1 star, can't give anymore if they couldn't help. It's not a reflection of there quality of care.

Dr. Shah is literally the best. I don't know what i will do when i have to move. I have a high energy , high anxiety dog, who weights 70 lbs. She is so patient with him and allows him to calm down before the exam. She listens to all our concerns and takes time with all her clients. They are so busy but she always Makes sure to be attentive. Every tech I've ever had there is the same way. Patient and nurturing . Going to the vet with an anxious dog is like a nightmare, but they really ease a ton of the stress. Not to mention. I think they are reasonably priced, and guide with conscious approaches when treating your pet . 10/10 recommend.

The staff here has been outstanding in dealing with my Goldens issues. Dr. Furutani has been taking care of my boy since the beginning ... wouldn't go anywhere else.

Don't waste your money! This used to be a good vet clinic but no longer. All they care about is money, and have no empathy or compassion.

I called to see how much therapy/massage would cost for my dog. Well, in order to get therapy/massage, I would first have to get a referral. In other words, I would pay my regular vet for an office visit and xrays, etc. Then I would have to pay Mililani Mauka Vet Clinic $200 just to have a talk with the vet there who is certified in rehabilitation therapy. WOW!!! I can see paying an office visit price, but $200 plus the therapy package? That is sure a lot of money just to have a talk. Is this because there are not too many certified rehabilitation vets on Oahu so let's charge an exuberant amount of money for the initial visit???

We made this our Vet Clinic since our boy was a pup. Dr. Asay is great and so is the young lady in the pic with Dr. Asay. Anywho, our pup was trying to bite his butt for awhile, I took him in and Dr. Asay was out of town so we saw another vet who seemed great. She did an anal glad something and said good to go. We go to TX and when we land, my mom calls me and tells me that he's still biting his butt and going in a circle. When we get back, we go in again and the same Vet (small Asian doctor, pretty) sees him and says she can't find anything wrong - whole thing took about 60 seconds. I said okay, well damn. Then I ask do we pay for this appt since nothing was found and it took a minute. She charges me $39. I make an appt for VCA Pearl City. We go in, they weigh him and then we walk into a room with a Vet, she ask what's going on, I tell her, she grabbed this little comb thing and in a matter of seconds says "poor thing, fleas." Gives me a chewy sample, an hour later THE BITING AND CIRCLE DANCING IS GONE! But for some reason, in Mauka "I can't find anything wrong with him." Willing to look this over but after they ruined a staycation for us (would give us the meds to calm him down for a nail trimming because they said he needs another exam which they can't do for almots a month) that was one too many strikes and we had to part ways. I've had great experience but no more.

Right now during covid they're doing curb side drop off for vet appointments. We were new patients and they were very efficient in seeing our new puppy. They were really quick with administering his shots which was very convenient since I had my 2 little ones with me waiting in the car. We spoke to the vet over the phone and she was very friendly and easy to talk to. She answered all of our concerns. The other workers who helped us were very professional and friendly as well. Overall, I had a good first impression of this Vet clinic.

We have since left this vet office since my original review. The last time my dog went in to see Dr. Asay ( his normal vet was not in), she hadn't even read his chart and didn't know he had had cancer until I mentioned it :( there's a girl that works the front desk that is always rude to us as well and after Dr. Asay not bothering to take the time to read our dog's file, I was finally done bringing him here. We are a lot happier at his new vet who calls us to check up on him! MMV never called to check on him unless they were calling to give us information on any lab work.
