“We walked into Homeworld thinking we were gonna be attacked like how car salesmen do. We weren't. We were greeted with kindness from Mauro Yumol. We explained to him what we were looking for and he took us to see some inventory on the recliners. Mauro is very patient and helpful. We were going to buy from the store before we went here but Mauro was so knowledgeable and patient with us that we chose to buy at Homeworld instead. “A hole in the wall crystal shop. Beautiful selections. Not too expensive. They have handmade items there like this wand with feathers and a huge crystal at the tip. I'm def going to go back and buy one of them lol. The dog is friendly and the guy at the counter was very polite and helpful.”

“Everyone is friendly! You can walk with a worker to pick out your tree or pick one that was already freshly cut. They will cut and wrap your tree for you and even help you load it. Be sure to tip the workers!”

If you are looking for gifts that are better quality than all the cheesy Hawaiian junk, this place has lots of choices. I keep getting told that I will get a call from a manager never get a call I would never order from this company online. Very poor customer service. Edit: After dealing with Catherine G. “Especially with the many Native Hawaiians, living in diaspora, due to rising costs of housing and living, we have many opportunities to not just support local businesses but to support Native Hawaiian businesses. Homegrown offers a venue for supporting many Native Hawaiian businesses who many not have the start up ability to establish their own shop. Easy one stop shop for lots of different authentic Hawaiian gifts, household needs, clothes, accessories. While all of these separate businesses may have their own website, Homegrown allows you the opportunity to see these items up close and try on clothes before purchase. Since most of these businesses are not just Native Hawaiian but also offer items made in Hawaii, rather than outsourcing, some items may cost more than the average but I find that they're still reasonable.”
“Every in this store is cheap, you can find banded dresses at low price. You have to be patient to look for items that fits you from shoes, bags, dresses, jackets, slippers, etc. Sometimes there is limited cashier booths where you can pay, there is always waiting time when paying.”

“So far on this date (10/28/23), this is the cleanest and most organized Ross Dress For Less that I have been to. Walked into a clean, well organized aisles of clothing, make up, household items and more. Nothing on the floor! Bright lights lit the wide aisles, where you don't feel that everything is squashed into a space. Clothes were not so tightly packed that you couldn't look at the item without pulling it out with another piece of clothing hooked on it! It was welcoming store with discounts on many items. There were many clearance items as well. A great value for the bargain shopper. There was a line and it moved quite fast with sufficient amount of cashiers open. A security guard is posted at the entrance.”

“Been coming to the Waikele Lowe's for years and due to a kitchen and bath remodel I've been going to the home improvement stores frequently I had to post that this store's Customer service has improved dramatically. Last week I was looking for flooring and an associate walked up to me before I even need help. My husband even mentioned that it was rare not to have to look around for help as we have to at the competition. Later another associate helped me to check inventory and as I was looking for the samples to bring home he even marked out a plank as a sample for me to bring home. Last week we also went in for a microwave. Went to 3 places and this store was the only one that had it in stock. It was $10 more than the lowest prices store who told me it was back ordered but $30 less than the other big box competitor. I'm so happy to see a store that can manage to attract and train good employees!”

“This is my favorite place to buy plants, mostly starter herbs, as they rotate fast here. I love the location and its accessibility AND that you don't have to go into the actual store for anything (unless you want to) as all your gardening supplies are in one place. The plants are separated by how you're supposed to plant them and where according to sun exposure, more, less, shade, no shade, etc. Big plants, small plants, big pots, small pots, half wine barrels, wheel barrows, shovels, hoes, trowels, pavers, it's just a gardener's delight here. There's also a great selection of soil to replant from regular potting mix to orchid mix and all the fertilizer you'll need for the season. All the plants are healthy, I've never had to return anything or been disappointed with the advice I've been given. You can literally park within twenty feet of the entrance/exit and the usually have the boxes to carry away all your little baby plants in. Pets are welcome, another reason I like to frequent this store.”

“We've looked all over Oahu for unique souvenirs and couldn't find any...until we came here! This is one of those rare mom and pops shops with unique, locally-made stuff. The husband and wife make everything. Their artwork has a different, vintage vibe. We bought some for our bathroom and pool room and bought a few more small signs for our friends back home. The only problem was picking out which ones we liked best. If you're looking for gifts that are cute and different, this is the place to go!”
