If you're only filling HI taxes, this place should be able to take care of it...maybe. If you're filling with any other state, avoid at all costs. Especially if you're military.
The "expert" who helped us was not at all knowledgeable with tax benefits for military spouses (MSRRA). He insisted my spouse had to pay HI state tax even though she was claiming CA as her state of residence. I read him the black and white but he insisted we were wrong. Trusting the expert we gave in and paid state tax to HI.
A year later we decided to go the cheaper route and went to H&R block. To our suprise the tax experts there stated that not only could my spouse claim CA, but she also didn't have to pay state tax due to CA tax regulations for out of state military spouses. This not only saved us hundreds of dollars in state tax payments, but also got us a massive refund from HI. To say we were upset with this revelevation would be an understatement.
TL;DR: Executive Tax Services lost us thousands of dollars and were out-done by a cheaper service. Go literally any where else but here.

Called for an appointment which I got on the week I was free. Dropped all my papers the day before my meeting date. Jessica worked with me and explained each page, where the money is listed, my deduction. She was very professional. Before Jessica I met with Ella her mother. She was wonderful and she was also very informative and professional. I will definitely see them next year.

We found a new CPA after using Executive Tax & Financial Services last year. We are filing an amendment for the year they prepared our taxes. Our new CPA found errors.

Beware... Not a good company to hire. Talked on the phone to see if they could handle doing a complex task on my taxes. They advised to bring documents in to review. Upon completion of in person meeting, they charged me $75 which took about 15 minutes meeting time. Since I already invested that amount of money, when it came time to start filling taxes, I got no response back from email or voice messages I left. I also noticed that their office doors are always locked even during opening hours.

I've been coming here for a while now. Before I had no problems but this time I'll be lucky to meet the deadline to pay the IRS. I went to do our taxes on 4/6/23 and we did 3 returns that cost me $900. They needed one piece of info for my dad's return. I called back that same afternoon and gave them the info. Well it's the 17th and I've been trying to get the status of his return with no luck. So far I've left 2 messages (one on Saturday and one this morning) and no return call. Tomorrow is the deadline to pay or face a penalty, so provided I get the return today, I'll be standing in line at the post office to mail the checks by certified mail. Hopefully it won't be a long line but I won't hold my breath. I will have to fit in the post office visit between other commitments/appointments I have scheduled for tomorrow. They didn't even provide me with the 1040-V form that I need to send in with the checks. I had to go online to the IRS website to print it out for my and my dad's (when I get it) returns. I'll be looking for someone else to do my taxes next year. This is unacceptable service for the price I paid. They're nice people (why I gave 1 star), but if I can't get my returns in a timely manner or any communication on whether they need more info or why it's taking so long, nice doesn't cut it. It's now 4:40 pm and not a word on my dad's return. According to their voicemail from 4 pm to 5 pm (closing time) it's their dinner break. Guess I'm not getting the return anytime today. Taxes are due tomorrow. I have prior commitments and appointments for tomorrow and am unsure if I'll be able to spend the time waiting at the post office to send the payments. I already called the receptionist (who gave me attitude) and explained that I needed the return by the end of today. I guess 11 days is not enough for them to do a tax return. I shouldn't have paid them until I got all 3 tax returns, maybe then I'd have gotten my dad's one sooner. Very poor and unprofessional service. I will definitely go to someone else next year (a friend is recommending another place). Too bad I can't get a refund on the money I paid to have my taxes done here. Good luck to those who stay with this place. I hope this doesn't happen to you too.

March of 2023 After reading some of the reviews on here, I figured we try this place out to do our taxes. At first we was quoted a price for both business and personal taxes as these were fee based and not commission type quotes. So we went ahead and set up an appointment with the company. Once we got to the appointment, Leon the front desk guy told us we'll be going with Jessica. Calls out Jessica but then she says she already has someone today. So Leon then calls out Calvin so that's who we needed up going with with. Anyways we told Calvin that we were interested in doing both our business and personal taxes with him. So we handed over all our paperwork and he was pretty quick. Took about half an hour but we were missing a few pages of info so he told us we can come back and drop them off. After dropping off all necessary paperwork our business one was completed and ready to file. Sent us an email and checked out the draft and everything seemed ok. Since the business one was completed, we stated that we wanted to work on the personal taxes. So we waited about a week and finally asked him how it was, he said it was done. He sent over a draft copy but it was the business one that he sent. We called him and asked for the personal, he stated he did send the personal one. So he said he'll send it again, which again was the business one. Called him up again and he complained but he sounded like he didn't want to talk to us already. Anyways, he sends out another copy but this time it's a file that we can't open or view. It was a .winmail type file. It was already late, so we called him again in the morning. He tells us try and check your junk mail which we did and nothing was there. Again he sends another email with the same .winmail file. At this point it's been about two weeks as we started in the beginning of March. Now it's the end of March. Anyways I wrote multiple emails and called him many times and we're still waiting for our personal taxes to be done. He finally gets back to me and told me that since it's a secure file, he gave me a password to use to unlock the file. But guess what, the password won't work. Right after that, I called him up again and was put on hold. He would call me back. I'm still waiting......... This would probably be my first and last time with this company as they seem pretty unprofessional in getting paperwork done in a timely matter. And since we can't view the draft paperwork, the next available meeting with Calvin won't be till April 11. Talk about cutting it close or was he just planning on filing an extension? Either way, I want my paperwork filed in a timely matter but this company has failed to do so.

Just finished my initial appointment. Starting with a new tax firm, Jessica was so knowledgeable and so personable. Knew right off it was the the right choice. Picked up final tax package today. More than satisfied with Jessica and team. Kudos to them. They are aloha.

States open on Sunday, but it is not. I called Saturday and Sunday no one answered the phone or returned my messages. I decided I would stop by since it states open on Sunday until 4 pm. I got there, and I noticed the hours of operation sign in the window was blinking "Open" so I went to open the door and noticed the must-have masks to enter the facility note also on the door. Of course, I just took out all my masks in my truck the week before, so I cut off a sleeve from one of my running shirts, and it worked great. After feeling accomplished, I walked back to the office only to pull on a locked door. I knocked and took a step back, then noticed the sign stating that starting in May 2022, the place was closed on Sundays due to "off-season.". Well, that's just great. How about you update your office hours on Yelp?/ You have had since May to change it. I wasted precious deadline time going to this place and ruined a running shirt for their mask policy, 1 star. I hardly ever write reviews, but it's inconsiderate to waste other people's time, whether done purposely or just through negligence. Aren't CPAs supposed to be thorough and detail-oriented? I'm not convinced; this shouldn't be a detail that is overlooked.

I take my parent's complicated tax filing return to Calvin and his Team for the past 5 years ... and no problem. They maybe abit slow but they are thorough. The integrity of their work is solid and it's the priority that stands with their mission that is provided to all of their customers. I trust their work! Just finished doing my 2021 taxes with Calvin after being referred to him by a friend! I've never gotten my taxes professionally filed before and always did it myself. I did not know what to expect but Calvin was awesome! I am self-employed so doing my taxes are a little more complicated, but he did everything so quickly and was so patient with me! They also have a very safe covid protocol with temperature checks, screenings, and disposable gloves to wear during your visit. He is also priced very reasonably, beating the other places I got quoted at! He also educated me on misc things I did not know about prior to my appointment! Customer service 10/10 Location 10/10

I've been coming to this awesome family owned business for years. Excellent customer service and Calvin and Jessica are very professional.
