Staying at the Peace of Maui far exceeded our expectations. Not only was the lodge well maintained, the owners Tammi & Mika were so gracious, kind and helpful. The other guests were also very friendly with such a welcoming atmosphere and such beauty everywhere....It was both a surprise and a delight at the same time. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to friends and family. You get a true feel for the island of Maui right there.

Tammi and Meka are great hosts. The lodge is awesome was to enjoy Maui without breaking your budget because a shared kitchen is included. they also have the most charming cottage that will sleep 6 with a well stocked kitchen. One trip the the grocery store and our eatting out was only when we wanted. THANKS PEACE OF MAUI.

One of my favorite affordable options on the island. I like everything about staying here. The owners and staff live on property so if you have a problem they are there to help you solve. I love that you get to know the other guest. We all, but the cottage, share the kitchen for meal prep and the outdoor space is communal as well. There are fruit trees on property for the guest to consume. I ate my share of papayas. Also love the hibiscus room which is a little private room to the rear of the property. Pineapple fields are to the west. Probably my favorite feature is the out door shower. The ocean is about a 15minute drive. For the price there's not a better place to stay especially in the Upcountry

So I did notice that it is a shared space in the downstairs but Tammy and Mika opened their hearts up to my children and myself. What wonderful people. I really had to put some money away for this trip and I could not return to the west side of the island. I had no where to stay for my last night and she worked with me on pricing so I could spend the last night of my stay in the cottage with my children. She was so kind. Like many Hawaiian she has more than one sourced of income. So in the midst of running around with her wide hustle (which in this day in age is important in our economy) she made time to work with myself and my finances. We had lost electricity for three days. I lost hours at work and I lost money on my other reservations. I also could not store good because of the lost of electricity so I will forever be grateful to Tammy and Mika. She really came through in a time of Island crisis and they have good hearts. The location was not far from Twin Falls. Also they live on the property. If you are looking for a standard hotel this isn't it. This has the feel of someone who lives close by. I like it. It reminds me of visiting my grandparents in Oregon and yes it is next to main road but it isn't next to Sunset Boulevard. Maui lodging is not cheap and this place is not the priciest after looking up the prices. In my opinion when it comes to the standard rate, it is comparable. Even the shared living space at least you can make your own food. You can't do that in hotels. This place has a Yelp, if people didn't do their research ahead, well then I'm a little surprised. I love their vegetation on the property. The reviews above about work trades and what not, again so your research. I think that shows that they are down to earth. I drove my children to Twin Falls from there and this lace isn't far from the airport. If you want a hotel with a pool then go there, but this place felt homey. They tried to make it nice. We also bought tickets to Maui and the hotels were very pricey so to be able to make your own food when a gallon of milk is not far off the minimum wage, well that is precious. Maybe people go to Hawaii not expecting to cook or want to constantly eat out. That is nice for them but I want to prepare something sometimes or put something in the fridge, not so easy in the hotel room. In my experience Tammy and Mika capture the spirit of Aloha. It saddens me Hawaiians are being priced out of Hawaii. The cost of box of Cheerios is terrible. Food is too expensive for any of the hotels in Maui to have free breakfast it seems. They don't charge the cost of what a more secluded spot would be and I think their location is fine. If people want to spend $600 + a night they can't but remember they don't even necessarily eat pool access with that on Maui. Thank you Tammy and Mika for being quality human beings.

The important thing to note is that this is NOT what most people would consider a bed and breakfast. There were cockroaches found in the room and one of the other guest's room. Service is non existent and the breakfast is just instant oatmeal. This is a nicer hostel and nothing more. The only good thing about this place is the location.

Great location for Haleakala.Rachel was SUPER nice! She sat and chatted with us and gave us all sorts of tips and tricks for exploring Maui.It was very “peaceful” and secluded, with great views of the mountains.Oatmeal and coffee in the morning was a huge plus!

Location is central to the island and overall the prices were fair for a place to sleep.Service? I had no idea that there was any service, plus no signage starting rules or how the operation worked. After looking at their website again, it does have "hostel" listed under the reviews section on Google. Have stayed at hostels on 3 different continents, but unfortunately outside of being on the beautiful island of Maui, this location did not make my top 10 list.Positives-Bed, very comfortable and nice crisp clean bedding.-Location-Costs-Sizable kitchen, plenty of sheets and towelsDings-Services we nil- Walls are very thin-Poor ventilation with no cooling-Room security was almost non existent-Someone helped themselves to our provisionsWould I stay here again? I might, as the price was fair, high for a hostel, as it is not a Bed & Breakfast as advertised.Rooms: Small and thin wallsSafety: Rooms did not feel safe, but they were nice and cleanWalkability: For the views, YESProvisions, 10 minute driveFood & drinks: Bring them with you

Not recognizable as a bed and breakfast. It's basically a hostel. Everything is adequate but barely. It feels generally untended-to--in fact, I never saw the proprietor or anyone who worked there post check in. There are bugs and lizards, inside and out. I was told when I checked in that the indoor showers needed some work but that there was an outdoor shower. True enough, but it was guarded by a large spider who never budged for the duration of my trip. The "breakfast" is a fig bar and a fruit cup. Oatmeal packets are also available. "Jesus" kitsch abounds. There is exactly one wine glass. The hot tub water level is unpleasantly low. Coffee is an extremely DIY affair (cowboy style or instant). If you imagine a b&b without a coffee maker, you understand how this place doesn't quite add up. I wish I had stayed at the actual hostel for half the price.

We stayed for 2 weeks. Absolutely loved the location for two reasons: very calm and peaceful setting; centrally located to easily go North, South, East, or West. The hosts are awesome.

Tammi and Mika were extremely gracious, accommodating, and friendly. I was ultimately not able to stay at Peace of Maui due to emergency health issues with my travel partner but I will definitely give them a try when the time is right as their customer service was amazing.

Wow! As I sadly conclude my 10 day stay on Maui, and at this incredible property, I just had to come say a few nice things. 1) The hosts are so incredibly kind, and they will bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need. Too many things to list as to why this is true. 2) The grounds are exquisite. The backyard has games like cornhole, as well as grills, super comfortable high end patio furniture, and a hot tub! Oh, I'm writing this from the hot tub. 3) Really central location and not far from the beginning of the road to Hana, but also not far at all from the airport.I can't wait to come see y'all again! Thanks for everything!Ps. To the people who mentioned roaches or bugs, I have to say this - it's a tropical environment, and keeping all bugs away from a property is basically impossible. I saw one silly roach on the patio, not inside. It simply isn't an issue to the degree that some people would have you think.Mahalo!!

This is more of a hostel with bathrooms and showers down the hall. It did serve us well though with an early morning flight at the airport, just 15 minutes away. Glad they had fans in the rooms to circulate the air. The price was also very reasonable for Hawaii. Appreciated the peaceful wall hangings portraying God's peace and presence. Thank you.

Tammi and Mika were exceptional hosts! They really went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I enjoyed our stay at their lovely bed & breakfast! We came in on the last day of our stay in Maui to be close to the airport, and the location was perfect! The facilities were clean, quiet, and so peaceful and scenic. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We will definitely be back!
