“This is a special shop. They have beautiful taste and a lot of beautiful jewelry. It's all very curated from local artists, staff is exceptionally warm and friendly. I bought a gardenia hydrosol for myself that was made nearby with local flowers. They have a special area inside the store where you can put together a beautiful necklace or bracelet for yourself. They have lots of gems and beautiful pottery.”
“Makawao is my favorite place to shop on Maui, and The Mercantile is my favorite place to shop in Makawao. Recently I went in, hoping to find a few extra vacation pieces because I’d packed terribly for this trip. Well, I came away with a few fabulous pieces to wear on vacation—and a few bonus pieces for my everyday life. The amazing Stephanie understood my style and preferences almost instantly (like magic!) and pulled PERFECT items that I might not have tried on otherwise. “Beautifully, thoughtfully curated boutique full of handmade, eco-friendly and local island-made items! Clothing, jewelry, and small household/ gift items. My boyfriend got me a few things; a beautiful maxi skirt, these adorable dangly pineapple earrings carved from real coral (!) and a lovely simple handmade bracelet!
We went out to dinner in Lahaina and I received so so so many compliments on my skirt all night long! ????☀️”

“A great shop to check out when visiting Makawao. The owner Janette is so kind and helpful and designs the clothes and the ‘Oh Baby’ jewelry. The prices are great, especially for the area where boutiques are quite pricey. I got handmade pearl earrings for my mom for a fantastic price. We really enjoyed talking to Janette and hearing her travel stories and learning some history of the city from her.”
“My intent is to write a review for the men's Tribe Maui. Can't seem to find it on Google so thought I would write it here. If you are a man that likes stylish clothing Tribe is a wonderful place to shop and one of the few good options for us men on Maui. I have had nothing but good experiences there. Highly recommended!”

“Wonderful people, products and customer service. My husband and I were on Maui in August and saw their stand at the swapmeet. He liked their watches but didnt want to spend the money at the time so I emailed them to see about ordering one for xmas to have shipped to Seattle. They responded to email right away and confirmed I would get it before Xmas. It arrived with plenty of time because they are so fast with shipping and even included some unexpected swag in the shipment. The watch is beautiful and im so excited to gift it on Xmas
