Renting with SIXT was a breeze. The shuttle came promptly and the jeep was affordable and brand new. The Cynthia was the best welcome to Kauai possible. Her service was 10/10. Had a great experience with this rental company. Shuttle service was smooth between airport and location. The Chrissy checked us in and we loved her enthusiasm and the tips she had for us to explore! The Chrissy answered all of our questions without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable before we stepped away. Car was clean, no issues or damages to start with and returning the car was simple; pull into the side and they complete inspection. Thanks again Sixt and The Chrissy!

Sixt at Lihue Kauai were excellent- from the young Samoan man driving the bus and managing our luggage, through to Crissy in the office with the paperwork formalities. Superb than you Sixt - will certainly be back on our next Hawaiian visit.

Check inband drop off both easy! Our flight got delayed so we called that we would be coming in right before or at 10 PM (closing time) and staff members were polite, kind, and helpful both on the phone and in person. They even upgraded us to a nicer, slightly bigger car that was gas-efficient.
Returning the car was as simple as pulling up to the designated area and handing the inspecting staff the keys.
Shuttles took us to and from the airport directly, with helpful drivers who helped with luggage.

What a disappointing experience in paradise! I will never use this company again.
I am being charged $900 for a supposed scratch on a door yet there was absolutely no damage to the vehicle during my rental period.
Furthermore, there was no walkthrough or documentation conducted by the company prior to my possession of the car.
When I dropped off the vehicle in Lihue, the employee explicitly mentioned, “you will see an email from me about the damage, but do not be alarmed.” This statement, combined with the lack of initial documentation, raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the damage claim.
How unethical and predatory. The car was in terrible shape and had scratches and dings all over it. Had I known the company was so unethical, I would have demanded a thorough
walkthrough when we arrived at 10pm after traveling for over 19 hours.
I cannot believe this would happen in Hawaii of all places. :(

Never again! They sent me pictures of damage on a car I didn’t even use. They gave me a car with not working a/c. I realize a/c is not working right away, when I just start the car and tell them They gave me different car and I left. In 2 days they sent an email- says we find a damage on the car your used. I’m opening pictures and I see a car with broken a/c, the one I didn’t use !!!! Ridiculous

I rented a car at the kauai airport and the experience was great, the vehicle was in perfect condition both internally and externally. The girl at the counter was very professional and kind, the return was very fast and without any problem having had full insurance

We picked up an SUV we booked and it had some check engine light issues so we decided to have it swapped to avoid any issues that could ruin our trip. Crissy and Kaleo went above and beyond to put us in another car.. They didn’t have the same car type that we booked so they put us on another car but they promised to change it later in the day when our car type becomes available again. Kaleo gave me a call later that day when the car we booked became available but we were already happy with the one that they gave so we didn’t need to bother. Thanks to Kaleo and Crissy for the excellent customer service!

We rent a car by Expedia. On our reservation it says “ Toyota Camry”. First there is no any Toyota Camry, so they gave us Nissan Altima. Dirty, smells like public restroom, with a lot of scratches. I took a pictures and videos with all scratches. We start a car, AC was broken and didn’t work. So we decided to let them know, office call a mechanic, he can’t fix it and just gave us a different car, today it’s our second day here and we just received email about scratches on car, we didn’t even drive, car with broken AC, car what we just start and left in sixt because of AC issue. Now they trying to charge us for the car we didn’t drive, we didn’t rent and for scratches what was on the car before we even came to sixt( we have all pictures and videos). Tomorrow I’ll come to SIXT and all clients will know how they scam people and making money from nothing

Totally a SCAM operation. I rented a vehicle for 2 days last week. The price on the agreement was $227 and some cents . Returned the vehicle on Wednesday the 14th. Unlike EVERY OTHER car rental company who issue you a receipt or invoice within less than 1 second of returning the car , I didn't get a receipt till 5 days later on Monday the 19th. And guess what, they charged me $90 extra although I filled my tank and the person checking in the car told me that everything looks great , meaning no visible damages or dirt in the car.
NEVER EVER GOING TO RENT FROM SIXT. LIKE I SAID BEFORE " TOTALLY A SCAM OPERATION"
Edit: Based on their response almost a week ago, I sent them my rental agreement, which they acknowledged and told me that they will get back to me after probing what went wrong . A day later , I got another email saying the probe is still ongoing and that they will reach out to me soon. A week has passed by and there is no response to my follow up email.
THEREFORE ONCE AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THIS CORRUPT. UNETHICAL , GREEDY CORPORATE OPERATION CALLED SIXT CAR RENTAL. THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A RECEIPT IMMEDIATELY ON RETURN OF YOUR VEHICLE. INSTEAD , THEY WILL WAIT FOR A FEW DAYS HOPING THAT YOU FORGET WHAT THE DEAL WAS AND THEN SEND YOU AN INFLATED BILL.
TOTAL SCAM BUSINESS !!
