Lovely hidden gem on the island to make and glaze pottery! The teacher is so patient and kind, and will help you throughout the entire process. I was able to schedule a one on one class on a weekday, by just calling the Clayworks number. There’s also a storefront where you can purchase pottery. I had a blast making pottery on the wheel and I will definitely be returning to Clayworks to make even more pottery! ?

My wife and I just completed an AWESOME "Wheel Session" with Susan. Excellent in every respect. Patient , knowledgeable, funny, did I mention patient? Everything was ready to go and we were having fun just minutes after arrival. Would definitely do again, and might just take up throwing pots as a hobby!! thanks Susan, it was awesome!

Called a day in advance to see if we could come by and spin for an hour or two with some instruction. We were told to come by at noon the following day. So we drove an hour and a half, showed up around 12:10 as we hit a lot of traffic, and were told she didn't have time and that 'I thought you were coming by yesterday at noon'. Seemed annoyed that we were there, irritated that we interrupted her. I wish she had simply said, no. We would have understood. We will find a lovely beach on this side and extinct this unpleasantness as soon as possible.

We had our Wedding Rehearsal dinner at the Plantation house at Gaylords. It was outstanding! They knocked it out of the park. Thank you for a great evening and experience!!!

We came here for a luau and walked the garden prior to the event. Found this magical place. It was definitely the Jewel upon an already beautiful evening.

So hidden away, you won't find it unless you are doing a Google search on potting or potteries. It's behind the main building in the bushes, but run by a friendly lady who offers pottery classes as a very different activity to most of the tourist stuff. A course in using the wheel and glazing the resultant pots is $78 and was enjoyed by my crew.

Could work on: *advertisement, had no idea this place existed and have been to Kauai many times *when making appointment, more of a description of what type of pieces can be made, especially if your first time. They offer small clay pieces for children (coasters, plates, etc). Adults, u can spin a bowl or vase, or just create a candle holder, jewelry tray, mug. *update website Positive: *family owned *Beautiful hidden Gem, outdoors in a foliage of garden *Friendly private session (it was my Mom, daughter and I with Instructor (Susan) *Susan one of the owners did an amazing job instructing, helpful and patient *offers shipping if your a tourist *we could complete our piece within a week. First session u create your piece, leave there to dry. Second session to paint n fire. Third is for pick up. *Captain Aloha Terrific (CAT) roams your artwork to make sure it's perfect, he's awesome Clayworks at Kilohana is a MUST experience, I'm so glad we went we had a blast & created beautiful pieces & memories together

Went on a rum drinking safari and had a great time. The facilities where very clean and inviting even though everything was flooded 5 days ago. Great experience!!!
