Would give 10 Stars if I could. Absolutely amazing experience. My son commented that it was Better than Disneyland. The buffet and night show were both incredible. A must do for anyone visiting Oahu.

This is a must-see if you’re ever in Oahu! The entire experience from booking a ticket to getting back to my hotel after the tour was top tier. I loved receiving all the emails leading up to the visit - they were so informative and made the experience feel so organized. All the staff - from the shuttle bus to the Center - and students were so friendly, knowledgeable, funny, entertaining, and professional. The Center is so well thought-out - there’s something to do every minute you’re there. The washrooms were very well maintained throughout the day. The cultural performances were amazing. The food at Gateway Buffet was INCREDIBLE. Ha: Breath of Life is a must-see. It is worth every penny!!!

We had an unforgettable experience at The Polynesian Cultural Center, largely thanks to our private guide, Benny. From the moment we arrived, Benny went above and beyond to ensure we had an enriching, enjoyable, and seamless experience. His deep knowledge of Polynesian culture and history added a layer of understanding that made our visit truly special. Benny was incredibly friendly, attentive, and well-organized, making us feel welcomed and engaged throughout the day. I would highly recommend Benny as a guide to anyone looking to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions and beauty of the islands. Thank you, Benny, and the entire team at the Polynesian Cultural Center, for an amazing visit. We look forward to returning!

Not exactly…
Been twice-last time was in 2001 and at the time I had thought it would be like a normal Luau experience. This is very differnt especially if you come via bus.
The big show doesn’t start until 7:30.
I heard the words cafeteria food described by a passer by as I sat and waited near the store 6:50 and nothing to do for quite a while before the show begins. There was a dinner show though.
I remember the first time when we had come via bus-I felt trapped, exhausted and just like some might feel tonight (I’m here with a big family group and must stay).
The college kids who run this place are great kids and give great smiles and service to the guests. It’s just not exactly what you might think when you book a day of adventure. No alcohol served BTW.

We had the bus / buffet / show package & while it was our single most expensive outing, it was a whole day & night and an absolute great time for the family.
Food is excellent, the interpreters at the different villages are knowledgeable & welcoming & plenty to do — you do not realize that you’ve spent the day there.

Great place to visit and experience a little of each of the Polynesian villages. Plan on spending at least 3/4 of a day to really get time for some shows and activities in each of the areas. Employees are super friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of food to the left as you enter. Would go back again if I had more time on the island.

I really enjoyed our family's visit to the center. I was worried it'd be too hot, but glad that there were a lot of shade from the trees. The performers were also sooooo amazing! all from the Huki performance, the interactive lessons and performances im each island, the luau, up to the Ha: Breath of Life. (Thank you everyone, including our tour guide Samara for your hard work and dedication!) We really enjoyed our full day spent at the center???

4-Star Review: Polynesian Cultural Center
Visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center was an incredible experience that exceeded our expectations in so many ways! At first, I’ll admit, it did feel a bit “Disneyland-esque,” with its polished presentation, but that quickly changed. The center goes above and beyond in authentically representing each unique culture, especially by employing exchange students with genuine ties to the islands they represent. It’s clear that the cultural displays come from a place of respect and authenticity.
There are a variety of shows and activities to keep everyone entertained, from adults to young kids. Our children loved getting temporary paint-on tattoos, and there were plenty of interactive activities to engage them throughout the day. While it is possible to see everything in a day, we’d recommend taking two days to really soak in the full experience.
The buffet was a bit underwhelming, as the food quality could be improved. For families with picky eaters under 10, simpler food options would have been appreciated. That said, the entertainment during the buffet was fantastic, and the staff, from bus workers to performers, kept everything moving smoothly and efficiently.
The highlight of our visit was the Ha: Breath of Life show, which was absolutely mesmerizing. The visuals, storytelling, and dancing were truly unforgettable.
While it may feel slightly commercialized, the Polynesian Cultural Center offers an accessible way to learn about these island cultures without traveling to each location individually. The package—including the park, buffet, and show—is well worth the price for a memorable, one-time experience.

Beautiful, educational, immersive, and fun for the whole family. We had a party of 17 people with 2 of them being special needs. Our tour guide, Aroha went above and beyond for every accommodation. She remembered everyone’s names and created a personal bond with everyone.
