Pretty weak in all aspects. Selection of men's clothing was a single rack compared to women's racks. Hehe, women's racks .. get it? Store lighting is very poor. Parking sucks on weekdays. Store now closes early but I didn't spend much time and no money here anyway. Don't bother - there are plenty of other thrift stores on the island.

Loved this small spot! Staff was friendly (at least the ones inside) and they had some great second hand goodies. The furniture looked epic!

There was a lot of old stuff and little selection in my opinion. My wife said they had some good brands though. She got a few things.

IMHO I love shopping yard sales, and thrift shops. I brought of a list of Maui thrift stores to check out if I had the time. As it so happened, I forgot to pack a few items, so I had the opportunity to check out The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store on Shaw St. Parking was minimal so my husband dropped me off while he waited for a closer spot. God is good, one appeared in a few minutes. We were warmly welcomed with aloha! I was hoping to find some tropical treasure that was lightweight enough to bring home, perhaps some garden art sculpture, but really anything that caught my eye. Nothing screamed "take me home" but I did find a curling iron marked for $2. Yes, I forgot to bring mine from home, so this was a definite deal. My hubby found a pair of tropical swimming trunks! He thought its price tag was $10 but after I checked our receipt, I realized we were charged only $4 for it! Yahoo! We paid only $6.25 for our two items! Thank you Salvation Army for your friendly service! We'll be back! Aloha!

Kind employees. Low prices. Recycling is always a good thing for the planet and the state of Hawaii.

We are in Lahaina for a Whale watch day and took a chance in here to find a folding wheelchair for a client. But not today. But There were walkers and shower chairs. So I took a stroll in the book area and found a couple I may not have read. I saw a lot of Hawaiiana things. A good supply of Aloha shirts. Nothing for me. But I have bought here before. Once I picked up a all iron skillet with rust that I cleaned up and used for a year. Pretty good 5.00 item. Lots of Aloha Spirit in here. The clerk was incredibly polite. Mahalo

Salvation army use to be a good place to get great finds at cheap prices. Now they are charging items at regular price or even more than the stores. C'mon people you get those items for free. I see you throwing more things away. If it was marked lower than asking price I am sure you would make more money and get rid of more items a lot quicker. But instead you got items piling up and throwing things away because it's not selling. You got art work selling for $800.00, aloha shirts for $20.00.... WTF!!!!!! This is not the concept of a thrift store more like a concept of thieves. And also the people in charge (not the employees that work in the thrift store) but the ones who sit in the back office, very RUDE BITCHES.

Truly an old fashioned 'thrift store' so be prepared to dig through... not very 'clean' and clothing is not organized by size but I always find a few treasures!

So here's the thing with this establishment...it is definitely not the cleanest spot you will ever visit. As a matter of fact, when you first see this place you might want to just keep driving by but trust me it is not as bad as it seems. If you're looking for a rare Hawaiian item...a DVD or CD that you have been looking for...or even a set of golf clubs then this is the place for you. Eat, Drink, and Be Merry, my Friends!!!

-Went to a slightly dilapidated and unorganized Salvation Army (the best kind imho) to pick up some movies for cheap, (to go to bed to) - 7 bucks got us The Fate and the Furious, a Noam Chomsky Documentary, The Martian and a four VHS collection of the Duke (John Wayne), including True Grit and El Dorado. The best part was the sign that said "Do not enter our store with bare BUNS BOOBS FEET."
