Wow where do I start, we’ve been coming to the Royal Lahaina Resort every year since 2008, sometimes twice a year. We have brought many family and friends with us to celebrate different milestones. We got to know the Food & Beverage Manager Ford Ushijima and now consider him as our Ohana (family) he is just Amazing! We have become friends with the entire staff there and they have always treated us as royalty! I could not stay anywhere else but here, as we consider the RLR our home away from home. If you’re planning a visit, please consider The Royal Lahaina, as you will not be disappointed. Mahalo

We were onsite during the natural disaster that occurred in Lahaina. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that all guests were comfortable during this time of uncertainty. The professionalism displayed was commendable.

Was ok in most ways, nothing special. Special BBq dinner very disappointing everything was bland nothing special , unique taste etc. Can't believe route to pools and beach was through the dinning room, bad set up. NO shade at beach or pool, no tree share umbrellas etc.

“Ohana” that’s the epitome of our experience of amazing wedding rehearsal dinner, the feeling. Mahalo to Yvette of the hotel, Jason the Director of food and beverage and of course the one and only Ford from food and beverage. You made this so special for our entire family. There’s no place I would tell and advise people to stay - The Royal Lahaina. You make your guests feel at home and experience magic everyday. You made it hard for us to leave. Every tourist should stay at the Royal Lahaina resort. The feeling of ohana and love.

We met a wonderful man named Ford Ushijima who was the most precious and memorable human we met on our entire 3 island, 18 trip. The resort staff were so sweet, and I have been told that during the terrible fires that Royal Lahaina Resort did not turn away ONE SINGLE SURVIVOR who was looking for refuge and food during the disaster. That is some true and genuine ALOHA!

During our stay at Royal Lahaina, wildfires hit Lahaina Town and resorts in West Maui were without power and wifi, and cell reception was extremely limited. Royal Lahaina was prepared with a generator, while other resorts were not. Royal Lahaina could not have been more accommodating to its guests during this difficult time, setting up power stations on the first floor so guests could charge phones, using the Laua food to continue its restaurant operations until guests could leave the island and allowing guests to stay longer until they could rebook flights that were cancelled. All employees maintained a tremendous amount of composure, especially considering that some of them had lost their homes that week. Amazing staff and management.

Great place, better people. The resort is very nice, but the people were even better. Everyone went above and beyond to make our trip special. Ford, the food and beverage manager is amazing! The location is perfect, the rooms clean and modern. A must stay.

We were only at the hotel for 40 hours before the city of Lahaina caught fire. We stayed the whole week because The Royal Lahaina was the only hotel in the area, that was prepared. There was a lantern in the closet, There was food 3 times a day, even though the housekeeping staff got very thin, we never ran out of towels. Everyone had smiles and they were friendly and we always felt we were taken care of.

The hotel staff was SO kind and welcoming! The room was beautiful along with the rest of the hotel! Our only complaint would be the restaurant in the hotel, food was delicious but the wait staff was anything but welcoming. We will give a shout out to a waitress named Cara that was so kind and sweet especially with our baby girl who was grumpy from the flight! She was so patient and kind! She obviously set the bar high for us so our next two stops were disappointing when the waiters barely said any words to us. Overall a wonderful trip and will definitely stay here again!

This was my very first time staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort on Maui and by far the most memorable vacation that I will never forget! I was immediately welcomed when I arrived in their beautiful lobby by their friendly staff who made me feel at home. The resort is just steps away from the beach where you can watch humpback whales and go for a swim. The resort offers activities the traditional Hiu Wai which is a Hawaiian Cleansing Ceremony at sunrise. This is a must-do! My room was very clean and the balcony views of the ocean were breathtaking. The thing that I most appreciated about this resort was that it made us feel like family! Every employee on property greeted us with a smile and warm hello or farewell. I highly recommend this amazing property. Will definitely be back.

Slim but OK general store for basic items. You can get something like ice cream, chips, Musubi, sun lotion, and other General items at the store. He does not have all the selection like a general grocery store. But for the most basic need, this is okay. There is another General Store not far from here, you should go there and use that if you need more than just the basics. The hours of operation is also very good. They open very early in the morning which you can take your lunch and things to go as you go out on a hike for your day. It is a very good company and store.
