One year ago yesterday we got married in Maui.
I got a pearl necklace. Had a wonderful experience . So wish that this company would allow us to shop for more Pearls online.

We wanted to get a piece for our honeymoon. Picked our oyster and setting. Was $299, then had to buy the chain for another $230 then said I'll give you a free one. Thinking free oyster jewelry. I figured why not, he'll of a deal and it's not. You had to buy the setting and chain again. Then told me I wasted a oyster if I didn't take it so bought both only one with the chain. $750 later. Was only hoping to spend $300-400. Wish I just got a refund by now. Be willing to send back the jewelry or return it for my money back. What a scam

I was on my way to dinner and earlier I kept seeing women wear pearl necklaces. I couldn't help but wanted one too. I came across the stand and asked if they have a pearl necklace. They have several options for necklace, rings, earrings and bracelets. David said I can choose an oyster for a free pearl if I buy a necklace. David explained the difference between salt water and fresh water pearls. I chose a 7mm White Akoya Pearl on a 14 k yellow gold chain. I forgot to ask if the chain is plated, vermeil or filled. I emailed customer service to ask about this since I know the item number. I asked my fiancé to choose the oyster for me and it looks similar to the necklace I bought. Overall I had a great experience here. David did tried to sell me earrings and rings, but I only wanted the necklace and stay firm with my decision. I wish they would also sell 18k and not just 14k. When I tried it on, a mom and daughter came up to me and they were interested too. Overall, really glad I bought it. It's so pretty!

This was a delightful surprise experience and service provided by an exceptional employee. We purchased some earrings at Na Hoku and got a card to get a free pearl at the Pearl Factory. It was such an exciting, pleasant, and educational experience learning Hawaiian culture and significance of the pearl we got. We set this special silver pearl in a beautiful turtle bracelet. Eli made this encounter an absolute highlight of our vacation!

Normally I dont leave reviews but please go to the other location in maui and not the one in Whaler shops! Such a terrible experience the two days I went. Both staff members are rude. I have been to the vegas and florida locations without issue. I had a much better experience at the actual store!

I’ve been coming to the Pearl factory for over 4 years multiple times a year and never has I been treated so badly at a pedal factory until today. Who ever was working the 12pm soft today had the worst attitude I have ever seen. Looked like he hated his life and the fact my husband and friend were even there. We wanted to open over 8 pearls and said we couldn’t unless we bought the ones in a can, then when we said never mind he told us we could do some. Told him multiple times we just wanted the pearls and no cages and I think because we didn’t want any he decided to treat us so badly.Whoever this employee was needs to be fired or re trained for how terrible he was towards us and treated us like we were stupid even after I told him we have been coming here for 4 years.I’ve been to Maui, the big island and Oahu 2 times and have NEVER beee treated so poorly and told to leave. Never again will I come to this location. Also notes keep the oysters out of the sun so they don’t smell like they are ROTTING and cooking in the water/sun. Also didn’t even tell us about the meaning of the different colors the pearls represent or attach a pamphlet on how to care for your pearls once you get home…. Oh and didn’t even tell the story as to why the Pearl opening tradition and opening started in the Hawaiian culture. I brought my friend shoes first time was to ever come to Hawaii and open pearls and talked up the experience so much and was met with the most miserable person. Very disappointing and expected better.

Definitely a fun experience to get your own pearl from an oyster but SO not worth it for the jewelry. I went to the kiosk location in the Venetian in Las Vegas. Had a pearl set in a pendant. The lady put it in crooked. Went back the next day for her to fix it, and it still came back crooked and covered in glue. I don't live in Vegas so when I got home and saw the pearl was still crooked, I sent it to their HI location to switch out the pearl w/ another one I had (they have this scheme where if you set one pearl in a piece of jewelry, you get another pearl for free). So I had them switch it out and when it came back, the second pearl they set WAS RUINED!! There are scratches and dents all over the pearl. So go ahead, and get a pearl but have it set with an actual jeweler.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm impressed with the beauty and quality of the jewelry. Thank you to Everly who provided me with an excellent service. She was really sweet and informative. Great overall experience.

After purchasing an item from Na Hoku (their sister store) the seller gave us a card to receive a free "pearl in the oyster". We went to one of the two Pearl Factory carts located in Whaler's and told the Pearl Factory employee about the card we had received. He started off by trying to show me settings for the free pearl I had not even opened yet and suggested I get the one priced at $169... I had just purchased from Na Hoku so I was not looking to purchase another expensive jewelry piece, I just wanted to redeem the free pearl I was given. When I said that he told me "all pearls are designed to be placed in a setting and worn". I had asked if there was anything cheaper and he said that the $169 setting was the cheapest and that they would throw in a free pearl as a "gift of aloha" which made no sense to me since I already had a card for a free pearl? I then made my way to the second cart where the Pearl Factory employee was less pushy and allowed me to open up an oyster, then proceeded to show me settings if I chose to purchase one. She even showed me one that was $59 which the other Pear Factory worker never mentioned. I didn't feel comfortable purchasing anything as I didn't see anything worth buying and the attitude on the employee definitely changed. They probably get commission. Anyways fun experience and concept only IF you end up purchasing something.

Read the reviews first! My boyfriend and I did the $15 oyster cracking and the man was super pushy, you can read the other reviews for more details... but same. When i did NOT get anything the mans tone completely changed & it was just an overall bad experience. Don't come here for anything, not worth it. Can't even tell if anything he said was true

My husband and I had our first visit to Hawaii 10 years ago. I was thrilled with my pearl and the wave pendant I set it in. Unfortunately, I lost my necklace a couple years later. We are returning to Maui this September when I hope to open another shell to get another pearl which I plan on placing in a new swirl wave pendant. It's beautiful and a treasure!

The sales lady was super annoying. She poke a whole on my pearl and try to sell me plus $200 accessories. Felt very disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed discovering what our pearl looked like!! My sister, mother, and I loved seeing each other's faces light up as we unveiled what our pearl meant! We adored the "aloha!!" ceremony. My only complaint is the prices!! Man!! The pearl is only 15, but the pendant, the chain, and the setting is crazy over priced!!! 4/10
