We are owners in Marriott Vacation Club and love staying at the different MVC resorts around the country. Hawaii is one of our favorite places to visit. We had never stayed at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club before but after just leaving, I thought it would be good to get our thoughts down. So here goes. First off, if you've never stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club before, you should. If you're looking for big units, with full kitchens, they're such an easy choice. Do a big Costco run to start the trip, and then you've got snacks and any meals you want to make your trip go well. 1. The staff was super friendly. From our check-in at the front desk to every interaction while we were there, the staff was great. 2. The 3 bedroom unit we had was awesome. We were in the Napili tower. Master bedroom had a king bed and a big bathroom. Bedroom two has 2 queen beds. Third bedroom had a king (I believe) and a sofa pull-out. Living room also had a pullout bed. It fit our family quite nicely. Big kitchen. Only downside is that the ice maker was decently slow at making ice. 3. The pools were great. I absolutely LOVED how they stayed open late. Some places close early, but it was awesome that we could swim and hot tub after a long day on the island. The pools closed at 11:00pm which is just awesome. 4. The towel situation was great. When you're in Hawaii you use a lot of beach towels so it was great to be able to get and exchange towels so easily. 5. Our unit was clean. No issues at all! I slept like a baby with the waves crashing right outside the window the whole week. We'll definitely be back to the Maui Ocean Club!

The Marriott was the only hotel in Kaanapali that made sure it's people were fed during the fires. The staff was unbelievable and kind! I am grateful for their generosity and cannot recommend the Marriott enough. They rose up when it was desperate and open their doors to others. They let people who were not even staying there feed their babies and children. They allowed us to use their filtered water when the tap water was contaminated. They had people driving in food through the danger zone to make sure they were not without. I truly am grateful for their absolute outstanding behavior during such a difficult time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! If there were more stars I could give you, I would!

Unbelievable ocean views, phenomenal pools, the most friendly staff on the planet, gorgeous grounds, really happy with everything outside of the room. Inside of the room could use some work with cleanliness. There were drops of dry urine on the bathroom seat when I arrived. I wiped them with a wet wipe I brought, but it grossed me out. There were multiple hairs in the shower as well, so I washed them down before getting in. The bathroom overall has quite a bit of crustiness, which you can see in the photos and there is similar crustiness on my nightstand. Everything is older in our tower and room. To be honest, I'm wondering if our room was cleaned before we arrived, how is it possible to have dry urine on the seat if it was cleaned?I have no idea if the carpets have been vacuumed because you can't tell what is on the floor because of that brown carpet design. Cleanliness is super important to me so the white gunk and the urine and hair really grossed me out. Of course, housekeeping only comes one time during a one-week stay, so that's a little frustrating for the enormous price we are paying to be here. I also want to add that the showers are slippery with no mat, my husband slipped and fell, hitting his head on the way down. He gashed his back. I have photos of everything (only posting the broken tile shelf here). I immediately called down to file a report. Security came up, took pictures and cleaned him up. Nobody from the hotel ever followed up with us. Not a manager, no one! How is that possible?!

Horrible! Absolutely horrible people running this location. They took my 5 day reservation. Waited until check in day. Called me while I was flying there to tell me they double booked my room! That I had to leave early and wait outside in a cabana until another room was available. I spent over 15k on this vacation and this is the service I got. They tried blaming corporate booking too. I called headquarters and they told us that it's the hotels job to list what they have. Not corporate website. So the resort lied to me. Management basically said I could book somewhere else then. I will never go here again. I will be speaking to a lawyer about this. I basically flew my whole family here to be told oh well.EDIT: Ryan, that is a lie. That is exactly what the lady told me 4hrs before landing to Maui. That your owners wanted my room the last day and that I had to move out. That is IN FACT a double booking. And I did ask to speak to the manager. Both Cyrus and Bill Countryman ignored my repeated requests to talk to them. Your front desk also blamed marriott corporate booking for this. Come to find out, corporate only lists what you tell them to list. Which makes sense. Bottom line is, you guys are not doing your job. You took my money, confirmed my stay and let me show up to tell me that I have to move out of my booked suit 1 day and sit outside until a new room becomes available. And then your people told me, if its such a problem, just get a refund and go somewhere else. Yeah, I just flew my whole family to maui to be told to take a refund if its such a problem. I didnt pay 1200 a night to sit at a pool for half the day either. And people reading this. The whole time they keep telling me they could not instantly transfer me from one room to another (not having to check out at 10am and wait until 4pm for a new room). All the while the marriott app showed up to 6 rooms I could book! But they cant instantly transfer me? But I could book another room on the marriott app? And they have no rooms for me? And for the record, we had to move out at 10am our last day, and didnt get a call for our new room until 2-3pm. So i paid 1200 bucks one day to have to sit outside for half the day.

We did a quick four night get away from Oahu to Maui and stayed at here. A great facility with all the amenities that we need. Our one bedroom unit did have a partial kitchen but not sufficient for really cooking other than a microwave and coffee maker. But nice living area and seperate master bedroom bath. The living area had a foldout bed if needed and a full bathroom as well. The pools and bars are readily accessible and the ocean is great, that is right there. The beaches are nice sand and not alot of rocks. Of course its a drive to Lahaina or elswewhere, we rented a car. Parking was $30 a night with valet or $27 without and you park quite far out.I do recommend this resort as it has rooms of different levels from lower end to upper end. So its just a mater of cost or points for owners. We had not stayed here before and enjoyed it.

We are Marriott owner at first I was disappointed cause I didn't realize I booked a hotel room with a garden view and not a Villa. But the hotel side was quit roomy and still has a view of the ocean. So now I know either size works for us hotel or villa. The villa has a full size kitchen and the washer and dryer. I miss not having the washer and dryer but we all know if your on vacation you don't want to have to cook right?? So we don't miss the full size kitchen. Staff is always nice and friendly. Thank you to our Marriott Ohana staff!

We come to this Marriott location often and have never been disappointed! This time around our room was a 1 bedroom which included a half kitchen (utensils, bowls, plates, sink, fridge, microwave, dishwasher - NO stove, NO oven). We love having 2 full bathrooms which makes getting ready more convenient. The staff is fabulous! Jade who is part of the recreation team was so sweet. She was helpful with giving us information regarding the cabanas. And also have us really great food recommendations around the island. Sweet and encouraging girls in the activity center too. Clean hotel and very I know this is silly - but we absolutely love that they have the maile brand for their toiletries. Smells SO good. Only downfall in the whole thing - only one parking garage was open which was very far from the room.

Although Maui has some extraordinary beaches Marriotts resort was spectacular! For the traveler who decides not to rent a car the resort has everything you need. They have daily events for the entire family, games for the intelligent chess, checkers and or the scrabble player. They have shops that fill the lower level, gym and an indoor kitchen or outdoor bbq for visitors to feel at home. For the caffeine feen Starbucks is located next to the pool or each room has a coffee machine for a lazy vacation mood morning. The boardwalk and beach spans a few miles lined with other hotels, small shopping center with high end stores, local delights and of course an ABC store. For a visitors without a car the Hyatt next door by the pool has the famous ululanis hawaiian shaved ice a must have especially on a hot day! The resort is filled with a wonderful staff to make every vacation a slice of heaven. They have such great suggestions and can book any excursion all without leaving the resort. For the golfer in your life the green is walking distance. Live it up and enjoy a deserved break from life with a quick hawaian getaway!

Check in was painful; one employee at the desk. Somehow they fudged my res and it showed as 2 stays 2 separate nights: So this Marriott property is making me check out at 9am with all my crap and get a new room for a few hours. Dumb. They don't honor Marriott status at this hotel. It's a time share and waste of Nj way. Property old and dated. Add in all the Covid restrictions and it's a no for me when I come back for vacation or work again.

Marriott Maui Ocean Club is a great vacation resort with 1 or 2 bedroom villas that sleeps 4-8 people very comfortably. The property is very well laid out with gorgeous gardens, koi ponds, lush pathways and a gigantic volcano rock pool. The rooms are very clean. Molokai and Lanai tower rooms have small kitchenettes with microwave, toaster, sink, refrigerator, and coffee machine. The newer towers-of Lahaina and Napoli have full kitchens but are further away from the main pool. The property has a large lobby shop with great grocery items, beer, alcohol and much more. There is also a Starbucks and walk up counter service food shack. It's kind of expensive. $18 breakfast items. The well located main bar is in the middle of the main pool. We wished longhi restaurant was open. Staff here is very nice and house service was very attentive. We loved it here. Great location!

Bring your own bag - this shop is saving money by not providing paper bags. Prices are about double Safeway.

Mini grocery/convenience store in the lobby of the Marriott Maui Ocean Club hotel. Offers a good selection of grocery items (bread, milk, cooking ingredients, frozen dinners, snacks), alcohol, beach items (totes, sandals, sunscreen), toiletries, clothing, tourist souvenirs, & other miscellaneous items. Pretty much everything you might need if you’re on vacation, even if you’re in a kitchen-equipped hotel room and want to prepare some of your own meals. If you’re staying at the Marriott, you can bill to your room.
