Ilocandia Filipino Store is a hidden spot for Filipino food in West Maui and one of the best places for it there. The store is very neat and clean and offers very nice service. It is a small store that sells mostly Filipino products and hot food. The food is quite good, satisfying, and excellent. They have the best dinakdakan, which is barbecued, almost melts in your mouth, and is unlike the typical version. Their Ilocos empanadas are massive and taste so good. Other noted dishes include lechon with crispy skin, tender and juicy adobo and baboy, perfectly made fried tilapia, and pinakbet. They also sell fresh vegetables and items like pianono, butter, and ube. Customers recommend going first thing in the morning for popular items like the dinakdakan. The owner and staff are described as very nice and friendly. The store's status following the Lahaina fire devastation is uncertain as the road has been closed.
