Dr Kaufman is absolutely wonderful. I desperately wanted to get this kitten fixed and he got me in for the next day on a cancellation. He was caring, knowledgeable,and reasonably priced. Worth the drive to Upcountry.

Dr. Alan Kaufman is not only a superb veterinarian, he is an "animal whisperer." The comfort and care provided to his animal patients is mirrored by the staff's approach to us, "human clients". A vet visit can be unnerving, but not at this office - everyone is treated like family. A couple of times I had to go to other facilities, but never again - I was charged more, for far less attentive care. This practice is a blessing to our community.

I've been a patient of Dr. Kaufman for more than 10 years. I called today to request my normal flea/heartworm meds since I'm leaving off island for 2 weeks. I phoned yesterday, and 3 times today before a response once reaching the receptionist, who personally denied my request. Since she was also the rudest person Ive ever dealt with, eventually she refused to even relay the request. I did mention I've been a patient for 10 years without a yearly test and the urgency of situation since my dog has obviously been current with meds and the fact i'm leaving off island. She then informed me she was his WIFE. Apparently this affects their business accessibility. Their relationship is none of my business, but hopefully its better run than his veterinary office. Upon asking for Dr. Kaufman she replied he wouldn't take any calls.

Dr Kaufman has been taking care of my pit bull for about three months for an eye injury and a growth in his mouth,which required surgery. I'm very pleased with the care he has given Ehu. He's very thorough and Ehu gets excited when we go see Dr Alan and his wife, Quinn, which says a lot. So glad to have found a great Veterinarian and would recommend him to anyone!
