The clothes are great and the salesperson seemed nice enough as he sat in back staring at his phone. But, he smelled so bad we couldn't even look.

Excellent selection of this fine brand of clothing. The service was attentive. If you want classic clothing of Hawaii come here.

In past visits to Kaua'i I had not had the best of experiences in the Kukui'ula shops--lots of high-pressure sales efforts, from salespeople conveying their desperation in the face of slow business. But I like Tori Richard shirts, so with a little trepidation I went into this branch of Tori Richard. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to meet Kai, just the perfect helper, who showed me how to find shirts in my size. No pressure at all. Every salesperson should emulate Kai!

I found a couple fantastic dresses here. I had forgotten how to shop in person during Covid and awkwardly wandered in/out of the store one day, then went back the next day after checking their dresses out online. The woman working remembered me and helped me find the dress I liked on their website, introduced me to another pattern in the same dress and helped me with sizing.

We had fun browsing this shop while in Poipu. The selection is not huge -- it's a medium-sized shop --but the shirts, tops and dresses are first class. Many men's shirts are made from a very fine weave of cotton with button-down collars, so this is a great place to shop for refined island wear. (Just unbutton the collar for a more relaxed look). Patterns are sophisticated, some batiks, natural prints, and complex graphic designs that look timeless and attractive. There are women's tops, wraps and long flowing one-piece dresses that are light and comfortable, in lovely colors and patterns. Worth a stop if you don't mind paying some $$ for really nice clothing.
