My wife and I walked in here on on 1/26/24 about 3:30, there was no customers in the shop just 3 employees? shooting the breeze, they did not greet us nor acknowledge us, just ignored us. Yes we are older but there looking for gifts for our teenage grandchildren, after walking around not finding what we were looking for and being purposefully ignored we left and spent our time and money elsewhere….clueless untrained staff.

We came here because my feet were blistered, and I needed to get new slippahs. We didny know it was 10min before closing, but I knew I would be quick cause my feet hurt so bad. Male employee that was bringing in surfboards from outside told my wife we got time and we good. I asked the girl at the cash register and she told me they closed in 2 minutes...meaning don't shop. She had curly, blonde dyed hair and glasses...WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! No Aloha at all. We took our business elsewhere. The next store we went to, even though it was really 2 minutes until closing, welcomed us and even showed us around the store to make sure we found what we were looking for.

Wow! The customer service here is above and beyond! I needed a gift for my son and Macie was so helpful and thoughtful! I am blown away. I will be shopping here more, for sure!

Really great to rent surfboards from. It comes with an included rack and the board was waxed. Friendly staff and great selection of gear.

Woman at the front was very rude. Wouldn't consider helping us and was on her phone the entire time. I was saying excuse me to ask a question and she just ignored me. Wouldn't recommend shopping here.

When I saw the other bad reviews about this store makes me feel worried for Koloa community, was just there yesterday, the girl and the guy there wasn’t servicing, they were flipping their eyes to customers like a lazy bug, and they cut the tag off to make me not to see the price tag, over charge me for 100 dollars didn’t give me a receipt, they didn’t apologise the girl were still singing and the guy was yelling in front of everyone tells me he’s going to call the security, he tried every single way to scare me and kick me out of the store because they did this on purpose, I’m shocked can’t believe this happens in Hawaii, can’t imaging how many tourist they have over charged and didn’t give a receipt, if anyone see this review and experience the same situation, CALL THE COPS

Went to rent a surfboard. There were a lot of them that were not rentable due to repairs that needed to be done. Jenn help me pick out one that would work for me and her and her manager Chi went above and beyond and held the board for me until I could get in the next morning. Jen was extremely polite and willing to talk to her manager Chi to make these special arrangements. Thanks Jen! I hope you get recognized for your calm and positive attitude.

Older kids took surf lessons from Adam and Alistair. These 2 are The Best Surf Instructors. Super patient, kind, professional and fun. The training video at the store was great and also enabled the group to jump into the water almost right away when we got to the beach. Zero complaints and everyone was so happy with the whole experience. Thank you Adam and Alistair!!! ?

Mahalo to Macie for excellent service. I saw a hat I loved on Instagram after we had just gotten back from Kauai at poipu surf. She was very helpful in getting me the hat shipped out to CA efficiently. We come to Kauai every summer and this store is a must stop every year!

Rented a long board for 3 days. Very little used for paddling around Poipu beach. On return told "bottom scratched" and charged additional fee. Have rented innumerable times from Nukumoi and never had issues with much heavier use. Unfortunately PS seems to want to "nickel and dime" you for $...be very careful about their pre rental form...all their well-used boards have "scratches" and "dings" and would advice renting elsewhere or being meticulous about photos of rentals before you leave. Too many choices nearby with better customer service!

I get it. It is very difficult to find great or even decent staff to work at your surf store especially in Kauai. Probably the hardest part is to turn a profit while paying employees and rent and all the others. Especially on an island like Kauai. Giving them all the leeway that is possible for a high end surf shop in a high end end shopping mall, forgiving them for staffing issues and understanding this ............. They still suck. Like WTF. Eat a D. Worst surf shop ever anywhere from Costa Rica to Los Angeles to Oahu. If you spend a penny here you are an idiot. Take care.

The location is great and convenient ---- that's the good news. The bad news is the service is lacking and we were made to feel like an inconvenience for the workers. We rented two surf boards for the day (more like a few hours) and one of the manager's handled the initial paperwork. The boards were near their end of life and quite beat up but she made notes on all of the scratches/dings --- yet never showed us the notes so we could agree. And you have to leave a signed credit card totaling $750 per board if not returned. But these aren't new and nothing close to that value. In any case, when we returned the boards the manager was gone so returning beat up boards was a challenge for the remaining workers and it took far more time than needed to resolve. I would HIGHLY recommend you take a video of any rental items from this place before you leave the store. This feels like we could have been hit with a very large bill for something we didn't do.

We wanted to have a sushi and Dolphin Poipu was recommended to us. We made a reservation and was seated immediately. We ordered cocktails and ordered the shrimp cocktail, lava, hanalei, poipu and sunset over the top rolls. It was definitely enough food for five people. The restaurant is in the Shops of Kukui'ula in Kauai, Hawaii. There is plenty of parking. If you happened to have to wait for a table, there are tons of fun shops to peruse through.

Great service, good cooked seafood, subpar sushi. Our waiter was good and attentive. The kids had swordfish and shrimp which they both said were really good. Our sushi was ok. Sashimi was very thick cut which is great if it’s high quality fish, but they fish didn’t taste great. I expected really fresh fish on the island but was disappointed. The roll we had was ok. I wouldn’t go back but it wasn’t horrible just subpar vs my expectations.
