Awful shopping experience!!! I DO NOT recommend supporting this business I Koloa!!! It was my daughters 10th birthday and we took her shopping in Koloa. Stumbled upon this gift shop and upon entry the old lady at the counter asked us rudely to take our drinks (my daughters water cup and my coffee cup) outside or leave them on the counter. Okay fine, I respect no food or drink in the store, so I left the cups in the counter. Still not the best way to be greeted upon entering a store, but whatever. We carried on. As my daughter is gathering items she is excited to purchase with her own birthday money, the old lady behind the counter starts yelling, “ You guys! Kids! Put your masks on your face, c’mon!” My daughter was the only one with her mask below her chin as she was just drinking her water and forgot to raise it back up. Not the end of the world. Mind you, we just took our Covid tests and are Negative, hence why we were allowed on the island in the first place, but this old lady had been scouring at us since we walked in the store. My 10 year old extremely sensitive daughter on her birthday just got yelled at by a grumpy old lady and she stood there with tears building up because she felt like she was in trouble by a complete stranger. I was trying to process what was going on and told my daughter to just walk outside with dad and I’ll purchase your items for you. At this point I’m actually really uncomfortable because I can tell this lady is not nice. As my husband was walking out with our daughter the old lady starts rudely mouthing something to my husband as she walks over to the hand sanitizer and pumps the hand sanitizer aggressively as if she’s so fearful of contracting something, and says something along the lines of, “she needs to wear her mask! We’re in a pandemic Etc etc…” my husband says calmly, “ well we have a difference of opinion” and the lady went off on him and told him and my kids to “Get out!”. Yes, she kicked my husband and kids out of the store. It took me a few seconds to process what was going on as I was getting ready to pay for all the items on the counter that my daughter wanted to purchase. I asked the lady calmly and confused, “Did you just tell them to Get Out”? Then she went off on me and started raising her voice and she said, “I sure did! “ started saying, “ they need to get a grip, wear your mask, it’s the law, blah blah blah.” I said to her, “ why are you so angry? Why are you yelling at us? We are here on vacation trying to have a good time.” And she proceeded to tell me, this is her island and she lives here and people need to wear masks etc etc”. I left the items on the counter and and walked out. My poor daughter was so upset as she just witnessed real ugly anger in the world from a complete stranger. She cried as soon as we got in the car and she was not able to shake the awful feeling she experienced all day. This old lady ruined my daughters 10th birthday all because she is so fearful. If she is the owner, shame on her! She clearly should not be out working in the public with such hate in her heart. If she is just an employee, I strongly urge the owners to terminate her employment immediately because she is so bad for your business!!! This was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had at a store.

Came in tonight to do a little bit of last minute shopping. This is my second time coming into this shop since being on the island. Wanted to come on here to give a shout out to the girl running the shop tonight, her name was Morgan. So informative about stuff in the shop. I have a soft spot for fun, interesting facts that when she told me some stuff it had me way more excited to buy some of the local jewelry. I can't wait to give this to family members back home and shared what I learned. Also thanks again for the spot for the fun night life ?

Enjoyed shopping in such a relaxed atmosphere. Go explore it at Koloa Town, it's a nice change of pace, feels more authentic. Really friendly and upbeat people.

The woman running the shop in Hanalei was unbelievably rude to my daughter and I. We were there to spend money and she acted like we were putting her out. I highly recommend anyone shopping in Hanalei should do so elsewhere.
