If I could give this store a negative star, I would. I bought my daughter a pair of Olukai ($80) slippers here, and THREE days later, both sides split, rendering the Sandals unusable. When we went back to the store, salesman Gary Keeth told us that it was company policy to NOT exchange any product, and that we would have to contact Olukai to have the Sandals exchanged. When I explained to him that we only bought the sandals a few days ago, he got very upset and told me that when I bought the shoes, he stated that anything that happens to the shoes has to be handled with the manufacturer. I explained to him that I thought he meant, anything down the road - Not immediately. (He also went on to say that this happens a lot with the sandals as they can't handle the heat.). I asked him why we couldn't exchange the shoes and have the store ship the product back to the manufacturer. He then told me that it wasn't store policy and if he were to do that for me, he would be afraid for his job. Another lady was in the store, and asked him why he just didn't contact the manager and ask her if it was OK to do so. He refused and said if he did that he would be fired, as it was her day off. And if I really wanted to speak to the manager, I could come back when she was working as he wasn't going to help me. He was yelling at me at this point and wouldn't let me speak. Bottom line is, my daughter now has to wait until we get home before she can use her slippers and we can exchange them ourselves. Gary Keeth is a joke and should not be allowed to work here any longer. He's been giving the same sales pitch on how his lady friend bought him Olukais and it changed his life, for too many years now. DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU WANT THE PRODUCT, AND KNOW THAT IF THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE, THE STORE WILL NOT GUARANTEE THE PRODUCT. YOU WILL BE S.O.L.

Good selection, but the old guy with the grey beard was very obnoxious and insulting to my wife reference the cheap sandals she was wearing upon entering. Very condescending trying to upsale us both with a pair of Olikai flip-flops. We almost called him out on it, but instead went to Poipu Surf up the street and purchased them there. Also, he was standing there eating a styrofoam meal in front of customers. Very tacky. Just an annoying and unprofessional guy. He'd do better by just sticking with, How ya doing? Lost a $230 sale because of his lack of respect and unprofessionalism. Scott

Store is great and the Olukai footwear is pricey but absolutely worth it. Employees are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. A great place and will be a regular stop on my future trips.

Discovered this place recently while on vacation. Super freindly and helpful, truly great people. We bought some Olakai shoes from them after the lady told us about them and they are awesome. We have hiked, kayaked, and played with our dogs in the river in these things and they have been indispensable. After we got back home we realized we left a bag of stuff we purchased elsewhere. I was able to send them a label and they packed it all up really really nicely and went out of their way to get the right box from the post office and sent it back to me. They were so kind and helpful and we really appreciated all their help.

Terrible customer service. No exchange, no refund, even though there is no sign up and you have your receipt. All sales final.

I recently had the worst shopping experience I've ever had in Kauai. I am a local who has shopped at the store before. I bought a gift for a friend over Christmas and when he returned it they would not exchange it for him or refund him the money for the shirt. They claimed it was wrinkled and they could not resell it. Really? I spent 30 minutes debating this with them and finally walked out feeling unjust and disgust that they would do nothing about it and they would just keep the shirt. I just asked you the charge with my bank. They've lost a customer for life and anyone we know.

They were so helpful both times we went. They had the exact Olu Kai model/color/size that my niece had to have, which no other shoe store or surf shop on the island had, and, believe me, we went to aaalllll of them. Relieved her sunburned feet.
