My 10 year old and I had a blast learning with Lucas and Sas. We did a semi-private the first day and my son did a group lesson two days later. Great experience, super easy place to learn. We both caught waves right away and the instructors even brought shorter, faster boards for us to try. Super fun!

Such a great experience! From the moment we arrived, we first time surfers were put at ease by our instructor San. His instruction was simple, yet thorough, and we all were up on our first wave! Not bad for three people from Ohio! Having the photographers Maca and Mika in the water giving encouragement was a huge bonus as well! This was easily a highlight of our vacation on Maui!

John and Lucas were great instructors. They took time to make it feel like it was a one on one lesson. They gave you confidence that you could get up on the board and tried different things until they found what worked for you. They cheered you on and had the whole group excited and having fun. They had all the gear you needed. Everyone in our group got up and rode the waves. Great experience, get ready for some fun!! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Waves if you are looking for surf lessons. My non-surfer husband and sons took a semi-private lesson with Furman and it was the highlight of our trip to Maui! My kids picked it up pretty quickly and want to surf again, and Furman never gave up on my husband who loved trying :) Mahalo for the great experience!!!

Had a great experience setting up surf lessons for my boys on our Maui vacation. It was a last minute booking, and Deb was so accommodating. She was kind and very informative. When we got to the beach, Val and her team helped get our boys into rash guards and water shoes. The gear was a little worn out, but it worked. Same with the boards. The instructor, San, was great. San was a professional, with over 45 years of experience. He taught at a good pace and gave really helpful tips to my boys. They also had a third party photography team that captured great in-water shots. What a great way to capture memories of their first surfing experience! Thank you, Waves, for making the experience so wonderful! My boys can't wait to surf again!

These guys are the absolute best! We tried surfing as a family of 4 and we all rode some waves at the end. Sasha, Lucas and the team paid extra attention to our kids and they enjoyed every minute in the water! Both our kids felt super confident of the lessons learned at the end. We will be back!

Myself, my daughter age 10 and son age 8 took surfing lessons with Waves Hawaii surf lessons and loved every moment of it. The instructors were so amazing. By the end, my kids were getting up on every wave.

Instructor Eddie was awesome, easygoing, nice and fun. My daughter was nervous as a first time surfer but he put her mind at ease and she excelled quickly. Veronica did amazing photos, which gave me the chance to sit back and enjoy watching my kids surf.Johnny from Maui Dream photography was awesome, he called me to clarify some information I had asked about and make sure I got the pictures.Kids can't wait to return and take more lessons. Definitely a must do when on the island!!!

These guys were great with my two boys: 11 & 9. Sacha was great with my kids, taught them a lot, and repeatedly towed them back out past the lineup after they rode all the way to the shore. I highly recommend.

Everything was perfect! The waves, the equipment, the professionalism of the instructor... in no time we managed to surf standing up on our boards! And what's more, we have beautiful photos in action as souvenirs! I highly recommend them! ?♀️
