Love this gallery! Highly recommend the photography class put on by Michael Gilbert, professional photographer. One can learn so much from him, whether you have a smart phone camera or a fancy camera. Love taking home your photo printed on silver paper, ready for framing. I've taken the class three times and learn something new every time.

I had the pleasure of taking an Outdoor Landscape Painting class and I highly recommend it! All staff members were consistently friendly and helpful; the instructor was skilled, knowledgable, and supportive of students with varying skill levels; and the class' setting was lovely!

Pros:
?The art work is spectacular. We couldn’t stop going back to look at everything.
?The staff are helpful, & one of the artists was there on the day & answers all our questions.
? Located in the Grand Wailea Hotel
Cons:
?Was a bit pricey however this is expected with the gorgeous detail that goes into the work.

What a thoughtful arranged display of gorgeous artwork! I'm from Tacoma where I can easily access the Chihuly glass bridge and the Tacoma Glass Museum but I still appreciated their gorgeous display... while dreaming of which glass creation I loved the most. The staff was very friendly and told me how often couples of wife & husband debate about which piece they like the best. I also found the oil paintings of various landmark cities including Seattle gorgeous. And their sculptures were Roman-inspired and breathtaking as well. Additionally, the staff were all very friendly and approachable. They offer variety of small classes including watercolor painting, acrylic painting, and photography. These classes are 3 hours long for six people each. The cost including instruction and materials for canvas is $65. I was on-the-fence about the classes because I wanted to fit all my items to take back on a carry-on. I saw the pictures that they printed (before mounting on canvas) and I was convinced. They provide ways to roll the print for traveling. Unfortunately by then, the class of six was filled. I'd consider signing up over the phone before your arrival if these classes are a definite to-do for you. P.S. They also offer a gallery tour and meet the artist sessions!

Such a beautiful art gallery. The men in here are very informative and not stuffy or rude. They were more than willing to talk with us and show us around and give some free kids stuff to us for the 5 year old with us in tow. Chihuly was our main attraction and it was brilliant to see all his wonderful colored glass pieces in person.

This gallery has been located inside of the Grand Wailea Hotel and Resort for a decade. Recently (the past few months), the ownership has changed. Apparently, the former owner also owned the sushi bar in the Grand Wailea and decided to call it quits with both businesses. The new owner has retained some of the old works (by the masters) and has started introducing a variety of local artists in the gallery space. Other artists who used to show in this gallery can now be found down the street in the Shops of Wailea. When you walk in the door, you will see a large selection of glass on display by Dale Chihuly. You will also see other artists featured in the window displays. As you wander the gallery, you will likely find as many as 25 different artists on display. Everybody working here has been very friendly and informative since my visits began in 2006. Since the new owner took over, some of the local artists on display work in the galley, which makes things more interesting. If you join the email list, you get informative emails that come infrequently. They are good about that. I consider this a must visit gallery if you are on an art tour or enjoy shopping for art on vacation. After you are done, don't miss the galleries in the Shops of Wailea. Didn't see enough? Head to Lahaina.
