I hope there is no star but this is the lowest it can get. Talked to a lady Ashley and got the most disappointing customer service ever. Location is very good on the positive side. I wont bank there if I can.

Officially Closed my personal checking account with this bank. When I came to reopen my account they said I have a negative balance of $2 on my old account and cannot reopen my account without a manager on site. My phone number is on file along with my address. I received no mail or phone calls stating my “closed” account was negative.Keep in mind this is Saturday, a day most people finally have time off work to visit the bank and they don’t have the people necessary to keep things smooth and afloat. I’ll take my business to Bank of Hawaii instead.

I had $280,000.00 in American Savings Bank in Kihei for over 5 years. Last week I tried to get a personal loan for 50 k and my husband who has been a doctor in our community for 25 years tried to get at personal loan for 50k I offered three times to have a personal guarantee with my savings accounts and checking. DENIED ! We tried to get a loan against our home worth 1.6 million. That we've lived in for 17 years. DENIED They refused to close my account and give me my cash !! Yes they did. I told them it was my money. They said I could chase it down at other branches. I was told they were receiving a cash delivery today. And still refused to give me my cash.
