You seriously can't ask for a better location. We saw turtles every morning and evening right off the beach, which is fairly private. The rooms were nice, nothing super fancy but really, how much time are you spending in the room. We stayed here with two toddlers and it was awesome! I will definitely stay here again!
Nearby activities: Lots to do nearby, restaurants, beaches, surfing, brewery and so much more! Great central location.

Just amazing, the pictures online cannot do justice it’s beautiful in person. They have everything for cooking, the kitchen and Bedroom including the washroom are well stocked with essentials. There’s a small cooler, beach toys and we left something2 beach mats for the next people. There’s also a washing machine and dryer for those times you ran out of clean clothes. There’s a hiccup with the room a/c but that’s not a bad g deal. We stayed at D225 and we will book the same one next year. The pool is warm and inviting. The Inn has the best sunset and sunrise views, very picturesque. It’s close from food and services. The Staff are amazing, shout out to Sarah and Krishana for always being there?

This place is truly a hidden gem. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay during the last two days of our honeymoon. I really wish we would have gotten the chance to stay here the entire time we were in Maui. The staff and check in process was so easy and stress free. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The location on the beach was tranquil and in the middle of all the local spots. I recommend staying here. The beach was quiet and we got to see turtles, endangered Hawaiian monk seals and more. The pool was very relaxing as well as the hot tub. I preferred this place over the Wailea Elua village Condos we stayed at for 5 days.
Rooms: The rooms are quaint and have a homey feel.
Nearby activities: All the local spots are nearby.
Safety: The property is gated.
Walkability: You're within walking distance of the grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, food trucks, and shopping plazas.

This place is truly a hidden gem. As the front gates open you see a beautiful pathway lined with palm trees and lush grass and a pretty pond. As you make you way up to the main building there's cool fountain with exclusive parking. The common area has plenty of activities from chess and other board games, books, movies and a computer if needed. The rooms are super spacious and really comfortable. In the back the beach awaits you where you see sea turtles everyday and can see one of the most beautiful sunsets on the island. All of this aside, this place will always have a place in my heart along with the keepers and owner. Unfortunately we were on Maui for the fires the decimated the west side. We were stranded with 5 kids and had no where to go and couldn't leave the island. Char, out of the kindness of her heart took us all in. I will never forget her act of kindness and the hospitality her and the staff showed us. It was there I got to experience the real spirit and love of Maui. I wanted to show my family Hawai'i and thanks to char we had a roof over our head and a place to sleep while experiencing the beautiful hidden gem. I high recommend coming here to relax and escape for some peace. I will definitely be returning in the future, without kids of course haha.Char if you read this, thank you with all our heart to you and your staff. MahaloAloha

I wanted to say thank you to my aunt Linda, char and the workers on this property. Char took my family in on Wednesday, the day after the fires when we had no place to go lay our heads or shower. It meant so much to me to be able to be in a safe space with my 4 kids. This is a hidden gem. The entrance is beautiful and it is literally 20 steps to a beautiful peaceful private beach. My kids and I saw sea turtles and were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation here bc we were unable to go back to our resort in Kaanapali for 5 days. Everything that happened was so devastating and unexpected. The common area is awesome, packed with drinks and food which we didn't have coming in. That was so helpful. We were able to do our laundry bc we were in the same clothes for 2 days, sleeping in our car and 2 shelters. Thank you for taking us in, in a time of need. I really appreciate it. My family, kids and I thank you so so so much! Beautiful spot. Highly recommend.

If you don't want the hustle and bustle of a busy resort but the quiet serenity and feeling of sitting in your own lanai, Aloha Aku is for you. This is our 7th year there, only to miss 2020 due to COVID and we go every year in February to celebrate our anniversary on Valentine's Day. You have all the amenities of being at home, including a washer and dryer with laundry detergent and a common area that is well stocked and at your disposal. The owners are gracious and have made sure that Aloha Aku provides a peaceful and convenient place, centrally located in the middle of Kihei, so that your trip to Maui is one to remember. Their staff, Wade, Jose, Sarah, Teres and Krishana make sure that you have everything you need without having to ask and are available to help or answer questions. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

I loved staying at Aloha AKU for my father's 70th birthday. The staff was incredible (shoutout to Teres and team for being fabulous!), the accommodations were top notch, there were plenty of extras (kayaks, paddleboards, snorkels, etc) to keep us busy for days. The property is beautiful, nestled between some lush wetlands and the beach, and it's close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. It was the perfect balance between being private/secluded and close to everything you might want or need. I would love to stay here again, and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Maui. Beautiful location with fantastic staff - I don't think I could have found a better combo. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating, and you can't beat those sunset views!
