I visited the Big Island for about 5months. While there, my wife and I had the good fortune of finding Marilyn and her expertise. We simply called, scheduled, and showed up. There was no waiting. Marilyn definitely listens to what you want and gives it to you. She is a friendly professional and keeps her salon extremely clean! If you're looking for a professional stylist who charges modestly, you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic little salon in Captain Cook. Decided I wanted a haircut while visiting but soon realized not many places pick up, Marilyn was open and available for an appointment the next day. The service was wonderful and couldn't be more happy with the hair cut! I definitely recommend Marilyn and her salon.

Marylin is so nice. She fit me in last minute! Lucky me! They are closed the first part of the week.You can't see the salon from the road. It's nice that it's located at the far corner away from the road. (Opposite corner of building from Conscious Riddims)

Olana does pedicures here and we really love her and her energy. She's a total professional, does a great job, very mellow relaxed environment that doesn't stink of chemicals. We're usually the only ones there and she takes her time and does a super thorough job. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to get a quality pedicure.

Its easy to make an appointment. They do walk-ins. I did some highlights and a cut and she did a great job and super fast.

Aloha, my name is josie and I am originally from the Chicagoland area. I have been in the beauty industry for over 25 years. I love creating beautiful styles on my clients and making them feel amazing. I am currently working on the big island of Hawaii and have been here for 3 years. Specializing in Hair Color, Hair Straigntening and the best defrizz treatment here in the island. Also years of experience in hair cutting. I rent a private suite along with one other stylist about 20 min south of Kona. I am currently taking new appointments and look forward to meeting so many wonderful people here on this island. Mahalo

Sorry Harry A, last reviewer ... word's out. L.O.L. And, I agree with everything you wrote. I recently brought Marilyn a hot mess. I had fried my hair by using a developing solution way too strong for me. And, I did it twice. I was simply hoping she could make it at least presentable, but what I got was the haircut of my dreams. Marilyn listens to what is wanted by the client and then does it. It looks great! She's a master at layering, among other techniques. So, folks, you just cannot go wrong. And the shop is adorable I might add. Can't thank you enough, Marilyn. See 'Ya soon again. ---Aloha, Joy
