Waited outside for 30 mins b/c they were on lunch When they came back they told me I can't open a bank account there until Friday Today is Wednesday and I told her it was my only day off. They didn't bother to make an appointment for me or try harder to help me when I told them I was waiting for 30 mins in the sun No wonder they have one star on Yelp. Go to Bank of Hawaii instead.

Kealakekua branch is frequently closed. This last happened on Wednesday, 2/22/23. This was not a holiday, only if you observe Ash Wednesday. The FHB website and their phone does not state when they will be closed. You have to go to the bank and read their sign posted on their front door.There is a sign that lists the number to call if you want to use their safe deposit box. I called, but no one answers or returns my call.I'm thinking of going to Bank of Hawaii.

Terrible experience, two tellers that don't know what they are doing. Waited 20 min. while they served two people. No managers around, if it wasn't for having CCs there I would quit these guys. Plus they are closed more than open

They have a sign asking folks to open an account. I was in South Kona for 2 weeks and wanted to open an account but they were never opened. I traveled 10 miles (one way) everyday to check because no one answered the phone. It would have saved me the trouble if they had a recording indicating the bank was not open. If they are permanently closed the sign should come down and there should be a sign that says they are permanently closed; the phone should also have a recording give the status of the bank. I can't believe any reputable institution could continue doing business this way

Your information about this bank would be wonderful if it answered the ONLY question I had about this location. What are the hours of operation? Hmnn? or even a hint of where I could find this info? What kind of genius would create a business information page without letting anyone know when the business is open for operation? You did! Isn't operating hours one of the most important pieces of business information that should be included on a page dedicated to providing a businesses information?
