Deflation never happens here, the price goes up and stays up, doesn’t matter if vendors lower wholesale they continue to be the most expensive place to get groceries in the country with the exception of general stores I’ve seen at ski resorts and amusement parks.
It’s sad that they think it’s okay to take advantage of the community financially the way they do,
Normally I have no interest in mainland companies coming to Hawaii but these piglets need some competition.

Great grocery for tourists or locals. This one is located in a big shopping center with lots to see.

Really awesome Poké, with (relatively) reasonable price (for fresh Ahì Poké).
Everything else is marked up as expected for Puna side but *mostly* the best prices south of Hilo (as of July'24 a loaf of bread is actually cheaper in Orchidland)
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - for the $7.99 Poke bowls and the awesome staff.

It’s a nice market food gets more expensive if your heading to Pāhoa or Volcano I wish they had more organic, there is a health food store in the opposite corner of the parking lot , also less expensive if you heading out of Hilo . The poke is ono ! At that market.

I don't know about their poké but everything else looks and smells fresh really reasonable on groceries

Great place with great prices and selection. Biggest complaint is the store is always jam packed no matter what time of day you go and their parking lot is shared with the shopping complex, so there is never enough parking.

Well stocked, but very high prices. Not sure how Hawaii residents afford groceries. But that's a whole other topic for sure. Once I gave the lovely cashier my phone number, even though I'm only a visitor from the mainland, the total went down by approx. $15-20, which was an awesome surprise! Returned a couple days later to stock up on a few more things.

Has a great selection of food but the deli meat I bought was rancid! I got teriyaki and also a few steaks and all smelled a bit bad when I bought but even worse when cooked. Sad because I’m visiting my mom and she likes to shop here so worries me she’s buying bad meats.
