I’ve moved multiple times across the states and they are by far the worst moving company there is. I should have taken a hint from the delays from their sales manager Andre and gone with the other company. Now, I am still trying to resolve an issue created by their lack of response to customer complaints. It’s near impossible to get someone to pick up the phone who handles customer complaints seriously. The boxes coming out destroyed is very true, I have several items that came damaged and the boxes were incredibly beat up compared with other boxes in the truck. @Frank, I am still waiting for your call regarding how to resolve my multiple complaints that, apparently, you are aware and you have done nothing.

Bill of Lading Number (Job #): 100187828 Pickup Date: 10/22/2020 Delivery Date: 12/22/2020Incident DescriptionWe hired City Moving to move our furniture to our new home in Oregon. The movers arrived at our home in Hilo Hawaii to move our furniture they were not wearing masks. We asked them to because we are seniors and were afraid of catching COVID they refused. They were rude to us and left some of our items never packing them. We arrived in Oregon and on Dec 22 2020 a crew arrived with our damaged items. The men would not wear masks and told us to take pictures of the damage and report it. My husband and I got COVID so could not place a claim for a month we were told our damages could not be covered to replace and only 60 cents a lb. The workers put a hole in our wall so I filed a $250 dollar claim to fix that and received a check from them 1/7/2021 I then put a claim together for the damage to our other items So many items were damaged. They are refusing honoring the claim for damage of our furniture and sent me a fraudulent document saying I signed releasing them. It could have not been signed as they are saying because the settlement agreement has a date of Nov 8 2020 and we had not even received the shipment by then. They have not only damaged our items and refuse to honor our claim but also sent me a signed settlement that I did not sign. Barbara Evensizer

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We recieved only part of our stuff, had very valuable and sentimental items stolen (they were inside a box packed away in another box, so our stuff was rifled through, which was obvious), and recieved some of our furniture with missing pieces. The tv stand we moved was packed awesome when it left our house and when we recieved it, it was packed completely different with all of the shelves on the inside missing. Communication was great up until they had a deposit and then good luck trying to get a hold of anybody. They were late on the pickup, late on the delivery, and charged me an extra 500 on the day of pickup because in the initial quote they labeled the boxes as small even when I said they were large boxes and when I called to complain, they told me i got a great deal! Horrible customer service, their deadlines are more like guidelines, and absolutely no dignity in the way the business is ran. Worst experience we have ever had.

Crushed boxes, broken furniture, missing goods and just try to make a claim...next to impossible.

In the beginning this company was personable and easy to work with. Once they had our stuff everything changed. Our shipment was crushed and valuable items were missing. All responses were canned. I repeatedly asked for them to forward our claim to their errors and omissions carrier as negligence was involved. They did nothing. Weeks after our initial delivery the truck driver contacted me as he found one of our missing boxes. It was so damaged that even taped and tied the contents were falling out of it. We had damage to about 40% of our shipment. Only three boxes arrived intact out of over 200. It appeared our furniture had been left in the rain. Books arrived with the pages stuck together as if with glue.

Worst movers ever!!!! Do NOT use them. They are related to PRIME MOVING, which is even worse. But anyway, I used them to move from Houston, TX to Hilo, HI. They lost an expensive item, crushed all but 2 of our boxes (we had over 20), broke valuable items, have cuts in paintings, bent my expensive bicycle, broke (smashed into pieces) two tables, lied about our delivery date, would not answer calls or voicemails when we called them. Plus, they overcharged and refused to release our household goods until we paid. They are dishonest, angry, sloppy and do not care about your things. PLEASE , the only way to stop their horrible business practices is to not use them!!! Try Royal Hawaiian .

Lost boxes, the ones that did make it crushed. Nothing but problems shipping the cars. 10 weeks to deliver furniture. Not worth it, they are cheaper for a reason. Always unorganized when I called.

Me and my family's move from Los Angeles to Maui last month went flawlessly. The City Moving team were careful with our things. Also great pricing.

My stuff sat in Hawaii for 5 weeks before they shipped it out, all my mirrors were broken, and a box of kitchen supplies was just missing. Now the claims department isnt contacting me as promised, and not once did I ever receive a call back for the dozen times I was told I would be. Absolute terrible experience.

They didn't show up after making an appointment to deliver our stuff. then they called us 2 days later and said we will be there in an hour. we had damaged furniture, lost boxes and Broken TV's that we paid extra coverage on. In total they broke $3,800 worth of stuff and we got paid $600. after fighting with them for months. I would never recommend them...

Move was from s cal to Hawaii. Less than 100 cartons. Told rep,Justin, that I needed cartons delivered during certain time since I wasn't there yet fulltime. Made reservations & a week before my departure I receive a call that my shipment was delayed. That cost me $300 for ticket change. Found out after several calls there was a 1000 carton shipment which was priority. Use another mover for small loads.

City Moving? Prime Movers? New Jersey?L.A.? Hawaiian Movers? I have no idea witch company I was dealing with...All I know is that I was unhappy from day one. My nightmare with this company began May 2017. They didn't pick up everything they contracted to move. I was told that they would come back to pick up items that were missed. The woman in L.A. lied and said that my daughter was there to approve the items being picked up. Absolutely not true. I asked for a Dispute Form, they never supplied me with one. When I attempted to contact someone in New Jersey, I was told that Prime Movers were no longer there and no longer in business. There is ZERO accountability with all these different companies having their hands on our household goods. DON'T DEAL WITH PRIME MOVERS!!!! Hiding behind "CITY MOVERS".
