Called to order a small custom size frame and the employer told me to order online and it would be ready for pick up in 3 business days so I did just that. It has been 18 days since my order. I’ve called 3x for an update and I’m told I’ll receive a call back but no call back. No real update, no offer of refund, or anything. At this point it feels like they stole my money because I have nothing for the 50$ I paid and they promote 3 business days for the frame time. Still don’t have a refund or the frame. I don’t know what else to do so maybe this review will get someone in managements attention. Long story short, don’t order from this company. Just go to a more private business, pay a little more, and wait a little longer.

Received outstanding service at Pictures Plus Kapolei! Giving a shout out to Maria and Caitlin-awesome dynamic duo! Mahalo for all your suggestions and making my framing projects look so amazing and professionally done to acknowledge my children's academic and sports achievements. Made me smile to put up those KOA frames on my wall today! Wow, excellent quality frames makes all the difference in the world! Can't wait to see the custom frame and mat-we picked out that royal red velvet for the richness to accentuate the certificate's logo colors. Mahalo for your patience in selecting out the perfect color mats, frames, and design set up for my projects. I will definitely be back to frame more of my family heirlooms that deserve their place on our wall vs. inside boxes that no one can see! Thanks for preserving our family memories for years to come!

5 Star service! Went in there to purchase glass and a mat board for a DIY picture frame. Maria & Caitlin were very helpful and friendly. They gave me their professional opinions on different color mat boards that would tie my picture and frame together. In the end, I decided to go with their recommendations. It was a custom job so they informed me it would take 5 days to complete. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from Maria a day early. Extremely satisfied with overall experience. Would definitely use Ka Makana Ali'i Picture Plus again.

I had a custom matte job that I needed done to match a rather intricate piece that I'd purchased pre-matted. They were able to do a fantastic job matching it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process and in selecting mattes and frames that would best display the artwork. Phenomenal and will absolutely use again for future projects!

I've been a Pictures Plus customer since I was a kid (oh yes, I'm that old). Over the years, I've gotten certificates, diplomas, licenses, limited edition prints and original artwork framed at various locations. In just this past year, we got 3 SIZABLE pieces done at this KMA location. I always have the most fun trying to frame in a way that really highlights the pieces. This past year, I worked with Eric and gave him full artistic liberty on them. "Shark Girl" is a water color original that we have hinge mounted on acid free reverse-beveled foam core dry mounted on mat board with a v-groove and with glass spacers. Pretty trippy in-person since it looks like it's floating. Our "Brand New Eyes" print was hinge mount, mylar corners, double mat and this expensive-looking overstock frame. Gorgeous. It was an anniversary gift. I usually hinge mount artwork/prints to retain its value. But for "Punky Pua" I've come to learn that when you go larger than 16x20, the paper will ripple a bit. And, "Punky Pau" is just a print that I am very confident I will never resell and does not need to retain any value, so I took the plunge and got it dry mounted with .25in glass spacers. Worth it! So disappointed in the frame work I got done. My print is on a hinged mounting and you can see the lifting, since it came rolled when I purchased it. The print itself was only $175. The frame from pictures plus ran me $600. And for that price I'd think they'd want me satisfied. But no, they want to charge me more to fix the problem.

I love this place. They have both affordable pre- made frames and custom frames (custom are usually a bit pricey...but that's the case everywhere). I've gotten both from here, and happy every time. They also have print your own photos here, so you can take photos and just immediately print on their photo printer. They also sell art hanging gear. AND they have some cool art here for sale, that would look great for home decor - like beautiful Hawaii photos - of nature, and turtles and sunsets. They have some that are printed on metal or glass. The staff are always so helpful in helping me find the right mat and frame to make things look great. I also just noticed on my last visit that they will fix old photos for you. So if you have some old worn out or faded or torn family photos they can re-print them and edit them so they look new or look better. I'll include some photos that they have for examples of how they can restore old photos. They also offer graphic design services and shadow boxes (I think that's their name), for texting and displaying valuable items other than paint or photo mediums, like for flags, medals, ribbons, clothing, etc.

I went to Pictures Plus at Ka Makana Ali'i on 2 recent occasions to get my children's nursery art framed in child-proof materials, and a customized matte frame for a going away present. Both times I had solid experiences! The store manager and reps that work at this store are always friendly, courteous, and respectful. I got an email as soon as my products were ready. The only concern I had about my experience here was that the customized frames are expensive. But that's expected for the service. This store holds art workshops, and even Humane Society showcase days where animals up for adoption are brought in. All in all, positive experiences and interactions at Pictures Plus Kapolei. I will be back again and highly recommend this store for anyone needing customized art frames and products.

Greatly appreciate the customer service of Pictures Plus. We had two older prints/frames done by Pictures Plus several years ago that had wear and tear throughout the years. Brought them in for repair and thankfully they guaranteed their work. So a few days later the prints/frames were returned looking brand new. Thank you Julie for taking care of us. We're a big fan.

Excellent service from Erick and Julie (Manager). They take the time to work with you. The only con maybe there seems to be only 1 person working at a time...so if you are the lucky one being helped right away...that's good; otherwise you may be waiting for atleast 10 min. Overall very good quality work and awesome customer service!
