One of my favorite stores for shopping Hawaii-specific items (non-tourist) is Noʻeau Designers. I always find the cutest gifts for my sister here to remind her she’s still a local girl, even though she lives far away. The items are always changing, handmade, and unique. Enjoy!

Me and my daughter thought this was such a cute store. I am hawaiian myself and my daughter fell in love with a hawaiian flag backpack/crossbody from this store. It was pricy $70 but i decided to purchase it for my daughter. She has now used this bag for less than 2 weeks and both pull tabs have completely came off, see the photos. Today we decided to go to the store and ask what the policy on the backpacks are and explained what happened with the backpack i purchased for my daughter. I was told their policy is exchange/refund with 30 days with a receipt and all tags must be attached item must still be brand new. I was very frustrated with this answer because i did tell them my daughter has been using the bag and for $70 i would expect better quality. Both employees just looked at me and said nothing. I let them both know i would be writing a review on yelp due to the low quality but high price tags for their bags. So buyers if you are purchasing a backpack/crossbody from this store do not be surprised that the quality does not match the high price you will be paying.

Male cashier was rude and unfriendly. There were maybe 5 people in the store and it wasnʻt like he was busy. One register was closed so I went over to his. He gave his co-worker the eye and I felt offended and even asked, "Why the eye?" Then he got more professional asking canned questions, but it was forced and not genuine. There are some nice things there, but not worth the unfriendly cashier nor the drive out there.

Super amazing experience last night. Learning how to make Christmas ornaments with our amazing teachers. Blessed to do class with my daughter.

Located in Ka Makana Ali`I mall this is my go-to spot for locating gifts. Wide variety of items from household decor, books, men/women/children clothing and even car rugs! Prices aren't ridiculous and they also have a location in Ala Moana for the townies.

Mahalo so much No'eau Designers. I recently placed an order with you and received it two days later, #1 that's amazing. #2 I wear a medium and everything fit perfectly. And #3I especially love the material/textiles that you use. They're so comfortable, lightweight perfect for this summer and every summer. I have to say that the material feels really good on, actually delicious. Okay I said it! I will be telling my ohana and friends about you. I love your designs and the prices. Mahalo so much for your great work and designs, very beautiful..all of them. I love my Sheerwater bird (I believe that's the design on my romper).

I will not shop here again. So many other local Hawaiian designers and stores to choose from. The service is terrible. It's just so odd to me as a kamaaina/local person they lack the Aloha spirit. Why? It's just so disappointing. I always like to support local. My apologies. I just cannot support tjhis place.

Nice store filled with products from local designers. They have a few brands that I normally buy from: David Shepard, Living Hula, Kini Zamora-- and they have a lot of Hawaiiana books and a few games too. We left with a couple of books and stickers that I got carried away with and spent too much on lol. Good place to go if you want to shop local and support small Native Hawaiian / local Hawaii businesses.

Their items are very unique, and they make great gifts! I have been buying their hand-painted wine glasses as wedding and anniversary gifts, and they are always a success. I really like the mix of modern and nostalgic variety of items available. Their art area is also very cute.
