There are 4 man-made lagoons at Ko Olina with Lagoon #4 considered to be the public beach and is located adjacent to the Ko Olina Beach Park. The Ko Olina Marina is nearby as well. Several popular resort hotels including Aulani Disney Resort, the Four Seasons, and Marriot's Ko Olina Beach Club occupy the other 3 lagoons. There is a nice walking path that runs the length of all 4 lagoons and offers terrific views especially at sunset. With that said the views of the power plant to the south are not overly inspiring. I didn't get a chance to try the snorkeling as the waves were crashing in when we were there in March. The beaches were nice enough, but there is definitely an artificial feel to these man-made lagoons and the whole area. I much prefer the beaches along the North Shore, Lanikai on the windward side or even Waikiki.

Most beautiful beach that not a lot of people know about.

Great park. Clean, lots of beach and grassy area. Bathrooms were a bit messy, due to high volume of people.

Ko Olina is a pristine gem on the western coast of Oahu. The four lagoons with their soft, sandy beaches provide a tranquil escape. The azure waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, revealing a vibrant underwater world. The well-maintained walking paths offer stunning views of the Pacific. The area is dotted with resorts and dining options, adding a touch of luxury to the experience. Overall, Ko Olina is a paradise for those seeking a mix of relaxation and natural beauty.Restrooms: Clean and nice.

Lots of parking. Beach has lots of options: sand or grass. Near by trees provide shade if you forgot an umbrella.Washrooms are nearby and well maintained

Nice, well-kept beach with parking, bathrooms, paved walking trails, and protected cove area which is great for young kids or weaker swimmers (very little wave action during morning).

Beautiful swimming pond area along the shore. Multiple hotels, restaurants and shopping nearby. The sand slopes quite a bit here and you'll have to grab a spot under the trees for shade. An umbrella will not be supported here since under the sand there are a lot of coral and rock formations. A tent could work for shade if you can weigh it down. This is a great location to catch the sunset and the water is clear and not stagnant here. It's not very crowded and there is a shower to rinse off after sea bathing. The parking was free when we visited and there were ample spaces at 4pm on a Wednesday evening.

Free parking. Come early or closer to sunset for parking spots. Lagoon is the same as the other 3 minus the beach chairs.

Love the calm lagoon atmosphere. You can just float and chill in the water. Great views of the sunset. The parking can get full, but haven't felt overwhelmed with the number of people there.

I would probably rate this lower for my purposes but it depends what is your purpose. Just hanging with family on a nice grassy area or snorkeling and swimming with small children, then this is your place. Parking is limited so get there early. Lots of walking trail between the 4 lagoons and resorts. For real snorkel adventure, these man made lagoons are probably not it, but definitely a tourists paradise.

Very clean and not crowded. I will suggest taking plenty of food and drinks though because the water makes you thirsty and hungry. There's staff throughout the area so if you need anything you can ask. First time there on vacation with the family.

Love taking my grandkids here to swim. Calmer waters. You may have to wait for a parking spot but never a long wait.Restrooms: Pretty normal for Hawaii. Showers outside near. Changing area and usually very clean

Beautiful sunset from the beach. The ocean was a tad cold, but calm and clear. You need to bring your own chair and umbrella. No rentals around. We ended up going to the paid parking. Too long of a wait otherwise.
