“I am Japanese. I was staying at Aulani and got a takeout poke bowl here. When I was wondering about the type of poke, they let me try it!When I chose hawaiian ahi, it was seasoned with sesame oil to suit the Japanese palate! The other toppings were nori, avocado, and green onion! It was delicious, so I recommend it to Japanese people staying in the area! Please note that it closes at 6pm, and if you go late, you may be told that they don't have white rice!Other than the poke bowls at this restaurant, the packaged foods (curry, herb chicken) have a slightly unique flavor, so many Japanese people may not like them.”

“This is a lifesaver of you're staying at the Hampton hotel (across the parking lot). Reasonably priced (especially considering the island markups). Plus cheaper than hotel lobby, bar or restaurant.”

“Best deal for simple provisions like school supplies, party items. Nice clean store. Friendly staff. Bought some nice quality garden pots for next to nothing compared to other stores.”

“If you're staying in the Ko Olina area, I highly recommend checking out Foodland, especially for their fantastic selection of premade food—particularly their poke, which is made fresh daily! Be sure to sign up for their Makai rewards program so you can enjoy discounts and get the best local prices. In my opinion, Foodland surpasses Vons in quality and variety. If you're watching your budget, keep an eye out for the weekly ads at both stores; they're conveniently located near each other.
FYI - Parking is super tight!”

“Hands down one of the best poke places on the island. It's in a grocery store-so don't expect it to be a sit down restaurant, etc. Also, prices are very reasonable compared to other poke places. Definitely stop by/visit if in the area.”

“Walmart is a last resort when looking for hard to find items. I had visited Long's,Don Quijote & Ross looking to buy a personal crock pot slow cooker. No one had what I was looking for. So I went to Walmart in Kapolei and behold! They had a Mainstay 2-Quart slow cooker for only $11 bucks. And just before walking into the store I found a lucky dime which signaled I was going to have a good day.......And I did.”

“I was treated very rudely by the 2 Sushi people in the Deli! I can't believe how rude and dismissive they were. Thankfully the deli Manager and Deli lady came right away to and apologize and tried to be as accomadating as possible. Those 2 sushi makers have no business serving the public at any level. I did call the store management and he assured me the situation will be brought to the attention of the Management of the Sushi area because it is a different business than Safeway. Deli manager and Deli lady are amazing kind women.
Thank you ladies.”

“I used to shy away from Walmart. Perhaps it's because of all the terrible memes out there. But hey, this is Hawaii. It's not like that at all! First off, I've downloaded the app and signed up for Walmart plus because Walmart is one of the few places that deliver to Guam for FREE (plus perks)!! They deliver FREE whether you order a $1.00 worth of goods or $500.00 with of goods. I've become an online shopper and I've found that some of their products are cheaper than anywhere else on the island. Might I note, Walmart carries a few things that I can't get anywhere else (All detergent - baby one). Also, I was able to purchase powered toddler rides online with delivery when all the local stores didn't have inventory. The actual store isn't bad either. I find it a bit dim at the kapolei store but I think it's because the lights are solar powered. Many if not all, the checkout lines are now self check. I used to mind that since I'm rather slow scanning and bagging but I've gotten better and faster. You'll find that their prices are just a few cents lower than Target.”
