Staff was not friendly or welcoming from the lady at the front desk to the nurse that called me to the back. There was one man with his sick son(looked about 5-6 years old) in front of me and it just seemed like the lady was annoyed for having to help him. The place was empty. Then it was my turn (I’m 9 months pregnant) and I was just there to take a covid test “Hi, I have an appointment for a covid test.” Her “Grab a number over there and press the button.”That was it. No greeting, thank you, have a nice day, nothing. Then I couldn’t do a test because I didn’t have a doctors order. The nurse “You need to call somebody and get a order cuz we can’t just do it. I see your appointment but I don’t see an order.” So anyway, the two I came in contact with, not friendly, not helpful and definitely made me feel like I was wasting their time for showing up to my appointment.

9-20-21 I visited this location at Straub Kapolei, Ka MakanaAlii by Pet Smart. Had gone in for my regular 6 month check up and my favorite internist asked, Can you take a urine test today? The computer showed I was overdue for one. Sure. His office is on the 2 Nd floor and the lab is on the first floor next to the elevator. The lab door is closed so you take a number then press a button. A tech will come to get you. They are so nice. My doctor gave me the paperwork but told me to say, Only one urine test. The woman who took me inside gave me the "cup" which I dread the most with my name written on it. Truthfully I rather have several vials of blood taken instead. For this and only this reason alone I think being a male is easier to collect a specimen for this lab test. I asked the two female techs is there a trick to do this? They both shared their technique and we had a good laugh. When I was done one of them asked, Success? Yup as I placed the capped container in the basket. Glad that was over.

DO. NOT.GO.HERE!Speaking over and blaming patient for your inadequate training is inexcusable. Both ends of the needle should not be seen while the middle of the needle is inside the patient. The attitude and rude behavior was not only a danger to the patient, but a cause for concern of the overall medical practice of the facility. One staff member profusely appolagized while the other ignored the patient causing harm until the nurse had to be removed from the room by other supervisory staff. DO. NOT. GO. HERE

Me and my Wife were looking for a place to do blood work on a Sunday and we see that all of the diagnostic laboratories were closed. We called this location and they were open and did blood work as well. They are also very close to where we live. They are located right next to Foodland Farms in Kamakana Ali'i. Staff and Phlebotomist were very kind and helpful!
