The luau itself was fantastic. The shuttle bus was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and uber it. The bus guy rushes you bigtime, talks constantly, which would be fine if you could understand what hes saying. After, they expect you to run back to the bus, and if God forbid, you have to use the restroom, they call you and ask where the heck you are. Thank God the luau was TOP NOTCH...because the shuttle bus experience was a disaster...and we stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Villiage...they made us walk nearly a mile to the meet spot. They tell you its a green shuttle, then a black one shows up...so its confusing. Then, they drop you in the same spot, so its another mile hike back after. Rant over!

We paid for the most expensive ticket, and were disappointed. The drinks were watered down and served in disposable cups. There were very few options available that were included in our drink tickets. The buffet was delicious, but again the ambiance was extremely underwhelming. THE BATHROOMS were utterly disgusting. Hair in the drains. It was clear that they were not cleaned. There were lots of upselling and tipping that was irritating. Upcharges for drinks, pictures, etc. Leis were hurried on, this was probably my most frustrating piece. The show was fantastic. We enjoyed all the staff. This is a $100 luau, and nothing more

I’m sure this place would have been fine. I booked through viator and never received a confirmation email. When I contacted viator 1/11 they told me they didn’t have records of my booking, name or email. So I booked a different luau and to find an additional charge on my card that I was not familiar with the day before the supposed event. Mind you I was getting a lot of messages regarding events I had booked and they had contacted about seating arrangements thinking this was the booking for the second luau. Since I was by myself, I didn’t care about seating so I didn’t contact them. Once I realized the charge, I contacted them and they refused to give me a refund because of their policy regardless of explaining the situation. I contacted viator and as the first cs person I talked to said that they didn’t have records of my booking. She goes further and was able to find something under an email that was mistakenly put in incorrectly that the first person didn’t catch. She said they will escalate to a lead and ask for a refund which of course they denied again. Paid for an event that I didn’t even get to experience. The text message was a day before by the way and at that point, I was getting situated from landing for my flight which made me preoccupied

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The Cheif was so funny. The food tasty and simple. Better then most the other places we ate our 12 days on the islands. We stayed right next to Paridise Cove Luau and choose to drive to this one because of the world champion fire dancers. Thy did not disappoint. My 72 year old father who is very hard to please wanted to go back the next day to watch it all over again.

Show was absolutely fantastic - 5/5. Performers were skilled and put on a great show. Chief was funny and entertaining. Audience participation was great. The atmosphere was not what I expected - the venue is at a water park (similar to Hurricane Harbor). The food was not great - there were flies everywhere. We had expected a traditional pork roast - the buffet included pulled pork served out of an aluminum tray that was fanned by women with fly swatters. Paid for ticket including 3 drinks - but the only options were beer, wine or mai tai. Ticketed drinks were served in a small plastic cup - similar to the ones used on an airplane. Drink waitresses did not come by often, so only got two drinks. We paid for transportation with our tickets, which provided bus transport to/from the venue, and the drive took much longer than expected. Bus driver was engaging and funny. But would recommend renting a car and finding something to do in the area before the Luau in order to avoid rush hour traffic from Waikiki.Overall, this felt like an overpriced tourist trap. Would not recommend.

My whole family had a great time last week at Chief's Luau. Many agreed it's probably the Luau on the islands and many of us have been to multiple Luaus on Oahu. The staff were very nice and welcoming. They had great side activities for the kids. The chief that was hosting the event had great humor and energy in his presentation and delivery. The dances of the various Polynesian cultures were amazing. The fire dance was done by a fire dance champion so that was stunning. The folks playing the instruments and music were just fabulous. The drinks were strong and the food was actually very good!! Again, I can't say enough about the entire staff! Great show for the whole family!!

Oh my goodness where to start. The ride over was fun the guide was informative in a unique way with dry humor. You enter the park at wet and wild. ( fyi it’s just located in same area you don’t get wet. ).The dancers male and female ones are all so talented they smile the entire time. Their performance was beautiful. The chief is hilarious again with dry humor. I highly recommend this luau. The food was amazing especially the kaluah Pork. You must try the Poi.

I usually don’t rate places but I had to give this one a 5 star. Performance was A+ , the only improvement I see is a bigger drink menu but we had a blast. If you’re looking for Luau look no further Because we looked around for weeks , different prices , reviews , you won’t regret it. If it helps even several Uber drivers said that chiefs luau was the best .

Avoid this place! It’s a scam. The roast pig is fake. The pig they serve is not the one shown on the stage. That was used simply for photo ops. Instead it’s a typical mashed, pulled pork. The bread and fish were dry. The show was okay. Drinks were super expensive and an extra fee. The bust host (Greg) was extremely rude. He seemed like he was simply repeating his comedic lines that were honestly just not funny. It was also difficult to understand Serrano his Filipino accent. We spent $almost $400 (for 2). SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND A DIFFERENT LUAU. Aloha

Had a reservation for Chefs Luau during my vacation. Rain happened on day of and it was canceled. No in-door alternative was available in chance of rain. Please keep in mind Hawaii is an island and rain happens, but not having an alternative is a bummer when you are a tourist here only for a few days and looking forward to an event.

Absolutely amazing experience. So glad we picked this as the Luau of choice as our first trip to Hawaii. Bought the Royale package and it was worth every penny. Chief is absolutely hilarious and his team is very well devoted and passionate about their craft. Got selected to participate in an event and enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. Mahalo.
