I had a terrible experience at this Safeway location this morning. I waited for almost half an hour in line to pay for one item. I was with my service dog and for some reason he became unsettled. When I was almost at the checkout, I was approached by someone who asked me to leave. My dog was not that bad. He asked me why I needed a service animal. This is 100% inappropriate and not ok on any level. There was another customer with a dog in line too. He embarrassed me in front of people. There was only 2 checkouts open and 2 very long lines, and yet he stood there engaging with me and being extremely rude and upsetting and ignoring the fact that people were upset because they had to wait for so long. I will never ever return to this store after being a loyal customer for many years. I am extremely upset and was very shaken by this. I hope you train your people better to have more knowledge and skill to work with the people and know there rights.

I love the workers here but the online coupons that you have to have a app on your phone for that takes up to much memory and is complicated. I can't stand that. I think I'm buying something on sale as a member a few dollars off and I'm not geting any discounts it's extreamly frustrating. Please do away with online coupon sells and just give the discounts Noone wants to deal with that or feel scared tricked by the online sale prices. Who looks that closely its deceiving. So I didn't get my $1 off spice or $2 off ice cream. But loosing $3 is frustrating.

Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES I have purchased grocery items that were over 3 months expired. And all three of these times were within the span of ONE MONTH!!! I have brought this to their attention and I somehow keep bringing groceries home that expired in December 2023 or January 2024. The groceries are not guaranteed fresh, so be on the lookout next time you purchase food or goods here!!! Sick and tired of this!!!

This review goes towards the deli department. I would give negative stars if it were possible.
I’m the only customer and I see 4 deli department workers. 2 are having a lengthy chitchat the others were doing something behind a wall with openings so they were able to see me standing there. Since this has happened to me on multiple occasions I set my timer and after 5 min with none of them asking me if they could help me I finally walked off. I don’t know why I even tried. I’ve seen other customers stand there getting frustrated as well.
Management has to change something in that department or you’ll be loosing more and more customers like me today for example that has been spending my money there for over 10 years. Thank god Target is right around the corner

Safeway was always my place to go shopping for all food products, healthy foods, house, kitchen ware, hair products. Most Safeways have a customer booth and I think most have some sort of banking, all have ATM' s and thank God one of the few that packages and rings up your items. I am sorry to say that it is not my 1st place store to go to for shopping due to the price increases throughout the years.If you are on a small monthly budget it is not really a good place to do all your food shopping. I do love their $5 dollar Fridays but think they should have more options with that. I do still run in for specialized items I love from their stores. Especially when it comes to holidays. I know they all have their own florist section next to the cakes and pies so you could even make a complete party for any occasion shopping in Safeway. You will pay a higher price but if it's a one place go to for parties supplies then hi there instead of having to run around to many different places to get the complete package. The store is also very clean compared to other food shopping establishments I've been too. It can be crowded especially on Fridays and football season for snacks and sport patties.Aloha

Highly enjoy working here. Noticing a lot of improvement in quality of life around the store. Happier employees, happier customers. Great food, great deals. I recommend the taro sweetbread and pancake mix. The poke in seafood department gives Foodland a run for its money. Don't forget $5 sushi on Fridays!

Safeway has good specials and rewards; you can get good meat prices, although prices are creeping up. Your sodas at B2G2 is a big drawer. There are, however two areas that need improvement. One is your meat department. Not nice at all, very unfriendly. I asked for ribs on special and the rude butcher gave me a piece with 3 inches of fat!! I didn't buy it. Continue on 2nd review.
