I never knew renting a car I would have such a great experience. My girl Van was always so helpful, considerate, courteous, and made me laugh leaving me happier than when I came in. They always had a rental ready to go at a time when I didn’t have a car to get to work on the other side of the island and were great with short notice. I would highly recommend renting from hertz from here if you’re on the windward side and need something reliable with good people and good service. Mahalo Van and aloha to all <33333

The staff was by far amazing!! Civa,van and denim,, we're just super helpful, friendly,, professional,,,just amazing people!! Everything was so easy!!! And by far the most aloha,, we've had!! Was from the Hertz Crew kaneohe location keep up the awesome job guys????

I will never use Hertz again after this experiance. Staff is nice but my issue is with Hertz illogical system of running a business. We had a car from Hertz via our insurance company. We went to arrange to return it on a Sunday (at 11am). They apparently are closed on Sundays. We happened to be leaving the island that evening for a trip so asked if we could simply drop off the car at the airport location (which Hertz has and it's open sundays) and were told alternant locations for drop off are not allowed. (Even though the car we rented had to be brought in from another location). During our calls to them we were disconnected many times (I believe it was 5 times) and had to re go through their hold and auto phone system many times.
The CSRs we're polite but they were scratching their heads on how we can get the car returned to them on a Sunday as Hertz doesn't have a procedure for that.... and we keep getting disconnected. One csr said we could drop it off with the keys in it, but don't lock it otherwise the company will charge us for locking it. If that wasn't odd enough, if we leave it unlocked (as requested if we don't want a penalty) we were told if it gets stolen we are liable?!?! How is a major rental car company not able to resolve something that seems so simple? I don't understand how a professional company could be in business without having a resolution for dropping off a car on 28% of the days of the year. I will never ever use Hertz again.

Hertz is by far the most incompetent and frustrating company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I reserved a vehicle for Friday morning but when I arrived I was told they didn’t have it and wasn’t notified because the rep didn’t see the reservation, I was then told I could go to the airport Hertz location to pick up the vehicle I reserved. After over an hour of driving and waiting in line, the hertz employee there said they also have nothing. She said there was nothing they could do since my reservation was still set to Kaneohe and recommended calling customer service or using a different rental car company (which would be far more expensive as it would be a last minute rental). So after sitting on hold for over 30 minutes a customer service rep finally answered and after explaining my situation to her, I was told “it is what it is” and my only options would be to cancel my reservation or reschedule it for a different day. She told me she would reserve it for the same location tomorrow and guaranteed me the vehicle I reserved would be available and graciously knocked $4 off the price (yes you read that right). Well fastforward to the next day and it turns out they’re not even open on the weekends. Called customer service again and was told there’s still nothing available, they canceled my reservation, and to basically kick rocks. All in all I would say this experience probably wasted around 10 hours of my time and by writing this review I hope to save you all the trouble of going through the same by avoiding this company that can’t honor reservations.

They lost my claim and reservation information. They could not find it and had no way to check their archived information. They had my information from October 2022, and was informed that there would be a delay as the shop making my car repair has delayed it until 2023. Called them in mid January that my repair will start in February and I would need a car then. They said no problem. Called them again a few days before and they again said that they will be ready and update my record. Well, went down to get my rental and they had no record of my reservation. They could not offer any way to resolve this and that I needed to go back through my insurance again to restart the process.When you call them to make any follow-up, have them pull up your records. Even if they say everything is a go and they will update your records later. If I could give zero stars, I would have.

I dropped off my vehicle at the dealership on full and Hertz was closed that day. The next day when Hertz came in they charged me $76 and said the vehicle was half full even though I topped it off the night before and only drove to the dealership. I eventually got a refund after providing receipts and bank statements a pint of blood and my first born child. The refund was only partial though at $62 so they still kept about 13 or $14.

In person service was excellent at Kaneohe branch. Online reservations SUCKS, could not connect nor speak to agent...force to make reservations online. Web is not user friendly.....went down to pick up car only to find out that there is a discount due to car being repaired at dealership. website did not offer it and a few other options. Kaneohe branch could not make the change or cancel my reservation that was done online without being charged. Next time I will do it in person and take my chance if not car dealership offers Uber to another rental. Much Aloha to Kaneohe branch.

So glad Hertz was there for us and had a car. Our truck broke down and we had it towed. They're right by the mechanics, how convenient right. The car was clean and the staff was super helpful. Love you guys! Mahalo nui

Horrible looking building. No front desk.Guy in the office wouldn’t even get up from his desk to greet me. He was very rude to the point I decided not to give them my business and got a car at a different rental place.Don’t rent from them. They are not professional at all.Worst customer service I’ve ever had.I will never give them my business again.Very disappointed.

Called damn near closing time and explained the situation with our car issues. Jen was an absolute pro and without missing a beat said that she would be there waiting to take care of us. Once we arrived she quickly got us sorted and into a vehicle and we were back on track. Return of the vehicle was just as quick and pleasant.
