I have been a customer for over thirty years. I’ve always had excellent customer service and recognize most of the tellers.
Today was different went to a new teller Kilinahe Foster who went out of way to help me. I made a extra payment last month on my mortgage that was supposed to be applied to my principal but wasn’t. Well she made a few calls and straighten out the payment . It’s so nice to have dedicated efficient employee. I think she deserves a raise along with all the employees at the Kaneohe location .

Long overdue review. Just want to personally thank the staff there in Kaneohe, especially Personal Banker Chad DeCosta. My family was looking to take a home equity loan right around the time the Federal Reserve was looking to start the interest rate hikes. Mr. DeCosta was patient walking us through the process and later helped us convert our HELOC loan to a fixed rate loan (2.75%) before the Feds string of interest rate hikes. When I look at the interests rates now (2024) I feel extremely blessed because there’s no way we could afford the high rates today. Thank you ASB Kaneohe and Mr. DeCosta for all your help over the years.

What makes American Savings bank the best is because of "Tania" as I hope she'll never retire, as I'll finish this later, but you cannot find any banks with females like Tania B as she, is truly "EXCEPTIONAL" as I know she's been there for a long time. Ones like her is about impossible to find no matter where you look! And Sarah, Melissa, Chad, etc! Because of Tania, American Savings, is, "where money grows"

Assistant Vice President Chad DeCosta's level of customer service was not what you expect of someone with that title. My bank card was turned in and he emailed me to let me know. When I called back I requested for the card to be canceled he said "No you'll have to come in" I asked again to cancel because if I pick up my card I don't know if anyone took my card number down and once they release the hold it can be used. Chad said "do you have online banking, did you see any unusual charges" umm no cause there is a hold on my card, my concern is after the hold is released. I asked again to cancel and issue a new card he again said "No I'm not doing it over the phone ypu need to come in" I told Chad if I call Customer Service they are able to cancel the card and issue a new one. Chad's reposne was "Well I'm not going to do that for you over the phone" I called customer service and it took them less than 5 minutes to help me. They canceled and issued a new card. My call with customer service was faster than my conversation with Chad. Customer Service also said that they recommend canceling the card because we don't know if anyone else has the number. Chad had no concern what so ever. Poor customer service on his part, very rude.

Amazing customer service and super helpful. I came in to get help to write a check and I had Marc, not sure if I spelt his name right but was very thorough in explaining the check process as I was new to writing checks. Gave me options of a welcome pack along with explaining what was included in other packs. 10/10 would come back for help in the future.

Time is $$$& Sitting in the lobby waiting for an appointment that as meant to start 15 minutes ago. Thinking in college of the rule that you give your paid professor 15 minutes after class was meant to start before you leave.

We're desperate to get things done in one day & opening an account for business is the last thing to achieve our goal for today. And going to ASB Kapiolani location won't guaranteed us achievement goal. Thanks G. for Waze, Google & other advance technology that made human's life easier. Shoutout to Miss Tiffany! For everything! (insert grateful face) We came in, greeted by the staff with their smiling faces, somebody came to us and settled us at the lounge for about a minute or two. Then Tiffany called us. Usual process happened. Ask our documents, ID's, interviewed us with these questions (sometimes weird to us) and viola! Done. This particular document that she wants from us & we are having a lil problem finding it which prolong a lil bit of the processing but Tiffany has been helpful and immediately resolved it. She's the best! So far we got good experience in this location. Prompt employee plus this place is so neat and clean. Great job! Superb experience! This Bank has really nice people working there, they are friendly and helpful. It is very clean and neat, has plenty parking and a drive thru ATM. Easy to see the Bldg and get to from 2 main roads in Kaneohe, Kam Hwy. And Kahekili.

I want to save everyone the hassles off no calls return, unprofessional service at the Main Branch Downtown. The VP manager should not be in that position at all! Please go to Kaneohe Branch and see Tiffany N. what outstanding service she gave!! Respectful, on time in return calls, emails etc!! She kept her word and performed as well!!! She deserves 10 stars!!!

I have an account at a credit union for military in Aikahi and its a long drive to get anything done from Kahalu'u. Remodeling means a lot of workers pay and I opened an account here to give them have an easy place to cash their paychecks. I visited THREE places first. American had a bigger service area, more tellers, LESS WAIT TIME, and I opened an account right away--no waiting on a Thursday afternoon. Friendly staff, personable--not snooty or fake. I think that the credit unions and banks I visited close EARLIER, have huge lines--and why would anyone WANT to wait when American is huge and has so many tellers? They all give around the same interest rates. They close later and stay open til 6 on Friday and also have Sat hours too. Win-win.
