“Nicely priced, good quality products from swimsuits, t-shirts, hoodies, tank top, footwear, etc. This is where we shop for our teenaged grandkids. There are a number of locations, some better stocked than others. Ended up giving 4 stars because we found things we really liked, just not in the sizes we wanted. Employees are helpful & upbeat. They also need to do a better job showing all their stock as there are a lot of great things for women/gurls in the stores that are not on their website.”

“Bought my very first piece (TISAS 1911) from them. Picked it up on December 22nd. I’ve been to other shops in the past and while they were all pretty friendly and knowledgeable for the most part, something about these guys completely resonated with me. Being this is my first time, they worked with me and listened to my needs and concerns, making my first experience effortless. I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews! No hype. They are everything everyone says they are!”

“Walked in to buy a complete set of golf clubs, gentlemen immediately asked me a few questions, then gave me simple options. Purchased a set of Taylor Made Irons, Taylor Made Driver, new golf bag, all for $500, and they took off 35 dollars as a disount. In addition, they gave my seven year old son a set of new golf balls, and a childen's size 7 iron. What a service!”

“The service was awesome!! Angel helped me to find the perfect size and type of shoe I needed. He fitted me for the size and told me about my arches. He was very knowledgeable about the shoes and explained to me thoroughly. Got to try on different brands to see what was right for me. It was great actually having someone assist and help you. Not like the other shoe stores they just get the size you ask for and usually don't assist you any further than that. So worth the money!! To actually get the right shoe and more importantly the correct fit. Thank you Angel for all your help!!!”

“Been going to this shop for years bc their products truly stand the test of time and wear. Bands don't loosen and colours don't fade compared to any swimsuit I've bought elsewhere. Yes, it's a little more dear but you can also choose top and bottom of different size, colour and style. Money saved actually! They also have innovative designs of swimsuit, so not just bikinis. Cherie has been v helpful. Don't miss this independent shop on your next visit to Honolulu.”

“What a cool place for cool places...The North Face store is located in Ala Moana Center near Nordstrom is a fantastic place to find gears and outerwear for all things outdoors. All displayed very nicely I still had some issues wondering if which are for men and which are for women as it doesn't seem to be clearly divided.Once I look at the label it's clearly stated men or women and prices are a bit difficult to see as the fonts are tiny so shopping and browsing to a bit more effort for a novice like myself who was looking for some jackets that are warm but not for arctic weather.Yes I can ask any staff where there are many that are super friendly it wasn't the level I was at as I'm just browsing it's just not easy to see as there are my factors of each item and wished they made it easier for you to know what level of warmth, rugged, and for which gender as getting lost is not something we like to face anywhere we go.Thank you!”

“Great store! With very friendly staff! We just popped our heads in randomly after climbing Koko Heads and got talking to Frankie who was one of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. He told us all about the history. We end up buying a Yeti water bottle and would definitely recommend the store to other tourists visiting.”

“I was little skeptical about the Phiten tapes and products. I gave it a try anyway as my neck really hurt one day. Amazing! The tapes tremendously reduced the pain level. It was like pain scale 9 went down to scale 3. All store staff were very friendly and generously put the tapes on my body .”

“I'm a huge fan of Patagonia as it is, so upon finding out there was a location here in Honolulu, I definitely had to come and check this place out. I was definitely not disappointed. The store itself is pretty big with a wide range of selections from t-shirts, bags, jackets and more. Walking in kind of reminded me of walking into a REI with out big it is and just how things were laid out. The main thing I was looking for here was something you couldn't get anywhere else, and that is their Pataloha stuff that is exclusive to Hawaii. The Pataloha branding that they offered included t-shirts and tote bags (from what I saw). The store was very clean and well organized. The staff was very friendly and made sure I was helped or if I had any questions. Definitely a great place to come check out!”

Support local small businesses!Parking can be tough either street parking or you get lucky for one of the 3 stalls in front of the store. Batting cages!Clinics are always well done. Definitely a highly recommend!!!!”

“I don't normally write reviews regarding clothing stores but I had the best customer service experience with Ronya, sales associate. I went in there wanting to kill time while waiting for my husband to take care of business at the phone store. As I was browsing through the cute shirts, Ronya greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I asked her few questions and started to converse. We just hut it off and she was just warm and so helpful. Normally, I prefer to be left alone to shop unless I needed something then I'll look for an associate. I love the prints on the t-shirts and enjoy shopping there. I wanted to only browse but ended up buying few shirts. I wanted to do a shout out to Ronya! MAHALO! See you soon.”

“I've bought a couple longboards from Koa. The proprietress has always taken the time to help me choose the right boards for my needs, and home break. Although their board inventory is limited, the shop is absolutely packed with accessories and apparel. And they provide longer-term board rentals, convenient for visiting friends.”

“**** UPDATED***Jeff made it all right! He reached out and made sure that I was well taken care of. He was amazing and the customer satisfaction is much better now because he really made sure he did what he could to make it all a better experience.Took a lesson and it was a terrible experience. I told the instructor I had experience in other wind and water sports but she insisted I had to take a three hour lesson when I paid for two and had me Venmo her for the extra hour. Most of the first part of the lesson was her setting up the equipment and repeating lessons about wind I already knew. She made it out that windsurfing skills would not translate which they very much do. She was late, not a great communicator to coordinate, and wasn’t transparent or honest. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.”

“I've been there twice in 10 months. Once in February before they had to close because of Covid and again in November after they reopened. Both times I accompanied friends who were shopping for gifts as well as themselves. The selection of aloha shirts is impressive and the fabric is of nice quality and top notch. If I recall correctly from talking with the owner, the fabric comes from Japan. The shirts are well sewn and I loved the selection of designs. The designs are well thought out and some of them tell a story about Hawaii. The owner is personable and helpful without being overbearing. If you are looking for a stylish aloha shirt this is definitely the place to shop.”

“If you ever bought shoes at the Running Room, you will never go any place else. The staff is incredibly knowledgable about running shoes. They have all run marathons. The owner/manager understands how people move their feet and what the movement means for shoes. I bought my first pair of shoes from him two years ago. I learned I was wearing the wrong size and wrong kind of shoe. I loved those shoes so much that I returned to buy another pair today. They take a lot of time with each customer and learn what the person needs. They also educated the customer. The prices are reasonable for the level of service. I also picked up some workout clothes that were on sale. They carry a lot of running gear. They have a small parking lot next to the building. They are a local small business. You just can't get this kind of service anyplace else.”

“I was looking for shirts for my nephew for his birthday; Lia was very helpful. She gave me suggestions on what high school aged boys might like. They didn't have his size in one of the two shirts I wanted; she checked online and found that their Kapolei store had it. She requested that they transfer that shirt to the Kahala store and put the other shirt on hold for me. (She said it would take at least three days.) She called this week to say they had both shirts, and I asked if they could hold it for me until Friday. I said I would try to get there before then. (I went today to pick them up.) In addition, I saw the "Eddie Went" t-shirts which I decided to get too. Again, they had one in the size I needed, and Lia called their Ala Moana store. They put it on hold for me, and I picked it up today. That's service with aloha!”

“This shop is collocated within the Soccer Locker, right off Kapahulu across the Safeway. Easy to find and plenty parking, just look for Runner's Room. One of the number decals on my son's school basketball uniform came off so I called up this place and they told me to bring it down. I was there at 10:30am and the gentleman said it would be ready after 2pm. Sure enough, done nicely (way better than my attempt with fabric glue lol) and very inexpensive. Great place and friendly service, will be back anytime a uniform issue comes up.”

“got there 5-10 minutes before they locked the doors for the day. even though i already knew what i needed, the shop keeper was very kind and let me try on and answered questions about different gi's and rashguards. they never rushed me, and engaged in convo to make me feel like i wasn't annoying for showing up right at closing time. very knowledgeable. nice to ask someone who trains, about the gear they sell, instead of unknown person(s) and their reviews online. they had a lot of nice stuff. will recommend. copped a super sick moya long-sleeve rashguard.”

“It’s a cool and nice hat shop. A shop staff is attentive and friendly. We wanted to go there since he ordered his caps from Toronto. There are not only cool caps but also Tees. We cannot wait for visiting there again.A popular cap shop in Hawaii. Although the store is small, caps and T-shirts are neatly lined up inside, so you're sure to find something you like. The staff was kind and the shopping was fun.”

“I love this store. They have very high quality athletic apparel. Although it's a bit pricey they have a cult-like membership club that will save you a ton of money. You just have to remember to skip a month each time you don't plan on ordering anything. Did you know they have free fitness classes too?”
