Calvin & Susie - Kailua
315 Uluniu St STE 105, KailuaMy pup is obsessed with the okinawan potato treats- they're good, a little spendy but when your pup lives something, how do you say no? There's a great assortment of local treats, aloha shirts and dresses as well as the basics. The people working there are nice and let you roam around without following you asking what you need, which I actually find uncomfortable since o like to read labels and think about what I want! Looking forward to more visits to try the rest of their treat line!

Pet Care
Arms of Aloha
970 N Kalaheo Ave #C-104, KailuaI recently had to make the hard decision to let my cat of 17 years go. I'd heard good things about Arms of Aloha, and I'm glad I made the call. Dr. Carolyn Nuan came just in time to help send my boy off right when he needed it most. I'm glad I went with Arms of Aloha. Dr. Nuan came to my house, stepped me through the process, and provided a soft blanket for my cat to lay on so he could pass away on my lap. When he'd crossed over, Dr. Nuan provided a pet bed at the back of the Arms of Aloha van which really helped me through the process. The staff has been very communicative and supportive. I appreciate the follow up card, paper gifts, information, and support group resources. My boy came back to me about a week later, so it was a fairly quick turn around. Hopefully it'll be a long while before I need their service again, but I would definitely contact Arms of Aloha if I need to send another pet off.

Dr. Asato, DVM
420 Uluniu St, KailuaWe've taken our animals to Makai Animal clinic many times and they have always been great. Recently however when we had to put our elderly dog down, everyone there was extremely kind and caring as they comforted us in our time of sadness. The vet even gave us a later than usual appointment to accommodate us.

KAI Animal Institute
267 S Kalaheo Ave, KailuaFor anyone who is looking for an integrative medicine practice for their four legged family members, I strongly recommend Dr. Levine and Julie and KAI Animal Institute.Stepping into KAI Animal Institute's studio, we were greeted with a calming and healing oasis that was thoughtfully designed for animals where Dr. Levine used various treatments like low level light laser therapy, rehab therapy, targeted pulse electromagnetic field therapy, and acupuncture for our dog’s pain. In addition, his wife, Julie, an animal behaviorist, performed harmonic therapy for our dog during the treatment which used sound healing powers to further help calm and treat our dog in addition to the acupuncture, etc. Soothing music was played in the background during the treatment session.During and after each session, we could see a change in our dog’s behavior and demeanor. She would smile and be so happy, excited to go to KAI Animal Institute’s healing oasis and see Dr. Levine and Julie. After a few treatments, she was able to stand for brief periods with assistance and continually kept trying to use her back legs on her own.We are so thankful, grateful and blessed to have met Dr. Levine and Julie and can’t recommend them enough for complementary care for animals dealing with pain or recovering from an injury or surgery.

Alii Animal Kailua Clinic
201 Hamakua Dr #104, KailuaThis location is the smallest Ali’i Animal I’ve been too, but they’re great. The waiting area outside was a great idea and kept my dog feeling comfortable.
They don’t have a waiting room, but they bring your pet right out to your car and the vet will consult with you there too! They’re super nice and care a lot about your pet. Highly recommend.

Kailua Pet Hospital
111 Hekili St STE 104, KailuaIm so glad I was able to get into this clinic the day I called!
Back story - I used to bring my old dog here years ago. When my family came back from Japan with a new dog, this office wasn’t open.
My dog was not acting like his usual self. His normal vet could not see him. I was told I needed to call around to other offices. I noticed Kailua Pet Hospital was open and decided to call. The gentleman who answered the phone at the front desk was so helpful and got me in within an hour. Dr. Thornburg was amazing and my dog felt comfortable with everyone in the office. It was decided that my dog more than likely injured his neck. We were sent home with meds that visit to help him feel more comfortable. Thank goodness he was able to be seen and the doctor figured it out, because he was in so much pain and the next day he was feeling so much better.
Thank you Kailua Pet Hospital! We’re glad to have you back.
Bonus… they give a military discount!

Feather & Fur Animal Hospital
25 Kaneohe Bay Dr #260, KailuaIt’s not easy finding avian vet but Feather and Fur has been our “go to” for a few years now and they are fabulous. Dr. Ayling saw our pet chicken and he knew immediately what was wrong with her. Besides his expertise, their staff was very kind and took great care of us while we were there. (Note, their receptionists are very helpful on the phone and Dr. Pluskat also helped us over the phone for follow up questions. Everyone was fabulous). Also, the facility is beautiful!!

The Cat's Meow Inn
408 Uluniu St, KailuaThe Catʻs Meow Inn was the best for boarding my furry child while I was on a trip. I would recommend it! Heather and her husband were great at communicating from start to finish. I received texts with updates on my entire trip. The pickup and drop-off service was convenient and made the whole process less stressful. Again, I am so grateful to this company!

Hawaii Dog Training Services
111 Hekili St, KailuaDeena was referred by a trusted friend - she then became a trusted friend quickly when she demonstrated her knowledge, passion, and respect for her clients and their fur babies. She provided me with in-home private lessons for my 1 year old dog which shaped such fantastic behavior out of him with the skills she provided me with. She also provided tools, resources, and access to other opportunities like pack walks. After our home sessions had ended, I was still able to contact Deena with training related questions and she was more than happy to help. Now, my dog is three years old and experiencing some health concerns where vets have left me feeling confused on what is best for his wellbeing. After visiting four different vets, I gave Deena a call and I couldn’t be more grateful of the open arms she welcomed me with along with a wealth of resources. I am finally no longer feeling out of control over my dogs health and ready to help get him back on track. I should have started with her to begin with! If you are new to dog parenthood or seeking dog support for your older doggos - she is my go-to! Ps. She has a soft spot for senior pups.

Over Easy
418 Kuulei Rd #103, KailuaLooking for a great breakfast place near the beach? Come over to this restaurant. There's always a wait and I know why. It's so good. Breakfast is pretty standard. How many ways can you make eggs? But it's not just the eggs. It's their bread. Wow! So good and the bacon and sausage. I didn't think an egg sandwich can be so good. Yes, an egg sandwich that we often throw together at home when we have nothing else to eat. But at this place, it was so good! I also got their papaya fruit dish. That's one fresh papaya. I think there's yogurt in it. It was also very good. I highly recommend this place.

OENO Winemaking
201 Kapaa Quarry Pl Ste 3105, KailuaMy husband and I enjoyed the wine tasting at Oeno Winery. The flights for the wine were amazingly tasty and educational. Our host, Mica was very knowledgeable of the process of their wines are processed. For each pour, he would provide us with some facts on the origins of the wines. He also fid not rushed us during the tasting. The wine that we liked the best surprisingly was the coconut Sauvignon Chardonnay. It tasted sweet with a subtle hint of the coconut flavor. We loved it so much, we ended up buying four bottles. If ever you're in Oahu, this place is a good spot to try.

Dogtown Bakery
600 Kailua Rd #107, KailuaIf I could give 100000 I would! This business is on the corner of the shopping center by lanikai juice and mala market and the taco place. When you walk in you are greeted with a lovely scent of pumpkin and spices it smells so GOOD! Just like a bakery I brought my dog in to get him a cookie and small doughnut for his 1st birthday today They have an amazing variety of treats, cakes, cookies, and accessories for your lovely pup! I love the name Dogtown because Kailua is literally Dogtown, dogs everywhere! They also had a cute ball-pit set up and my dog was obsessed with it. Furthermore, the staff is super friendly! 10/10 Service! 100% recommend! Austin and Ryan are super kind and very helpful to accommodating my needs as a crunchy dog mom Overall I had an amazing experience today and all the other days I had came. My dogs love their treats and baked goods that they make. So if you have a furry friend or know someone with a pet check out Dogtown bakery in Kailua

Moke's Bread & Breakfast
27 Hoolai St, KailuaCool, little place. Friendly environment. Local feel but welcoming. Biscuits were fantastic. I went simple and ordered the #2, which is a biscuits, eggs and choice of meat. I ordered a side of Corned Beef Hash. It was definitely homemade and cooked the way I liked it. Well done. But I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Seemed to be high on the clove flavoring, so be aware. If you like that flavor, then this is for you. If not, you may be disappointed. Overall, we had an enjoyable visit.
Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible.

Mahaloha Burger Kailua
143 Hekili St #150, Kailuaorder an avocado burger
The burgers have numbers written on them, so it was easy to order by just looking at the number.
The hamburger meat was juicy and delicious! I ordered it with the intention of sharing it between two people, and they cut it for me.
There is also a set menu of fries and a drink, and you can change the drink to a soft drink or beer for an additional fee.
I had the Kona Beer IPA and was very satisfied.
The parking lot is in the back, and even if it's full, there's a supermarket nearby, so it's easy to park.
The restroom was in the back, but was it just a coincidence? The door was locked. There is also a supermarket here, so you don't have to worry.
