Please, if you have had the same experience I have had, and many others, leave a message here about the lock picking staff, particularly Brian and his friend, the pony tail guy with the odd name. They are in cahoots. If you have experienced Brian becoming flippant and intimidating if you want to watch the security video to catch the thief then tell your story here in order to protect the community from this continuing criminal activity. He lied to me and said they never get robbed, yet the cops told me they are always getting calls about units getting robbed. Brian has no respect for woman in particular. He is also age discriminate. Stiff and Arrogant in his demeanor does not make him right and you wrong. If you were robbed he very likely knows all about it. Don't believe a word of his defiant defense. He doesn't care about people. He is a sociopathic liar. I was robbed repeatedly. My lock was marked with red paint, as if to say come shop for free here. And heavily scared from picking. So he and or his ponytail pal are constantly doing this all over the the place there. Sunday mornings are an opportune time for ponytail guy to get into your unit. Please record your experience her on YELP! Protect other from having their stuff stolen. DON"T PUT YOUR THINGS IN THIS STORAGE FACILITY IF YOU WANT THEM TO BE THERE WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. AND PLEASE, IF YOU TOO WERE ROBBED, MAKE A REPORT TO BBB. THEY NEED TO HERE THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS PLACE, AND THEY WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF THEY GET ENOUGH COMPLAINTS. LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO PROTECT OTHERS. THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN, FORCED TO SELL. NEW AND HONEST MANAGEMENT.

This is NOT a place to store your valuables if you need them to be there again when you go back - or worse - being rented a unit on an outside wall - that LEAKS is NOT OK. How Mr. Ashford and his staff CONTINUE to have complaints of people missing MAJOR items from their units and not have police interested in helping them out is a DISGRACE. I don't know WHO there is responsible? But good luck getting to view their security tapes - I think they would show the thief to be IN HOUSE - why else does it keep happening? No, I would just a soon put my stuff out on the CURB to give it away than let this den of thieves have open season to "cull the good stuff". Shameful and I don't know HOW they can keep showing their faces around town - smirking at you knowing they have robbed you blind and you have zero recourse.

The worst place to rent dollies! Few months back, we rented a dolley from them since we were moving to a different house. The staff were friendly the day we got there. It was about 3 pm when we rented it, and the lady that helped is said that it's $10 per day. We didn't think it was bad at all, so we took it home and finish some more moving. The next day around 1 pm when we returned the dolley. They have a different staff working that day and we got charged $20.89. I was confused about her math... $10 a day=24 hrs. Took the dolley home around 3 pm then after 22 hrs which is 1pm we got charged double. I don't see how she did the math... I don't mind paying for the price, but I don't really see how we got charged two times when it's less than 24 hrs. I would not recommend this place. They're rip off. They need to explain to their customers how their charging system works.

I have been a customer for many years using both storage and mail services. In the last 2 or 3 the family owned small business has made many improvements in their operations. The prices are affordable, no they do not have late hours or air conditioning. The current staff members and family owners do their best to accomodate their customers needs. If you become a mail customer they will honor certain requests for faxing and so forth.

I recently had to end my stay at Kailua Mini Storage, but I had a very pleasant experience here and would come back if I needed extra storage again. Brian Ashford is reasonable, listens, and is interested in helping his customers. As with any storage place, make sure you read your contract really well. But without a doubt, I would recommend giving them a try. Parking is usually easy and their prices are very competitive.
