Gas Stations in Kailua, HI

“I did not use the gas station but I did go to the 7-Eleven within the gas station. When I was in Japan, the 7-Elevens would have bento's, chicken, prepared sandwiches, etc. The 7-Elevens on Oahu mirror that same concept. So I bought lunch and dinner for a day pre-prepared at 7-Eleven. The food was really good. On the mainland usually gas station convenience stores do not have tasty food. However, the 7-Elevens that I went were good.”

“After lunch, we headed to Kalihi, where I normally get my car washed. The service station was closed, and I wanted to pay in cash. Thinking about our options, we decided to try the Texaco on Keoku Drive. Our first time here, even though it's just a few blocks from my house. I went in to pay for the car wash. Was pleasantly greeted, and the guy was very friendly. Got my code and off to the car wash. The adventurer really starts here. I was second in line. When the car in front of me went into the car wash. I proceeded forward to wait my turn. After a few minutes, the car in the wash backed up and went forward. The woman driver did this a few times. Her car was all soapy, and she drove out of the wash. The green light didn't come on for me to proceed, so I decided to thru the wash and check with the clerk in the store. Well, the lady that was in front of me was explaining her situation. The clerk asked her if she had the parking brake on and the car in the parked position. Sha said no, and the clerk told her that the sensors detected car movement and shut off. I was given a new code, went back to our car, and waited while they reset the system. When the system was reset, a person went to the lady in front of me. I could hear him explain to that lady what to do. He then came to me and explained the process. Very professional, both the clerk in the store and the person outside. Enjoy”

“I sent a website contact form and was notified by text I had an appointment a few days later. I went in for an oil change and they got it done in a few hours. I live close by so so was able to walk home while waiting, it would not have been comfortable to wait there. There is also a Starbucks across the street. Cost seemed high ($200 for an Audi oil change) but it's my first island auto service and I usually go to the dealership so it's likely comparable. They kept me updated and charged what they quoted. They didn't try to sell me on anything else despite me asking for them to check it over for anything else I may need.”

“Probably busy about now. Besides gas they have car vacuums for 1.50. Air and water are free. There's also a small snack shop with several varieties of goodies and drinks.”

“I needed a safety inspection by the end of the month, but everyone was booked out for weeks. I found out that several places in the Kailua/Kaneohe area either lost their inspectors or their license so make sure you book way in advance! Luckily the guys at Texaco 'Aikahi offered to keep my car on the lot for a 'work in'. Long story short, they did my inspection within 24 hours. I even received the call after my working hours - I'm a teacher - so that I wouldn't have to interrupt my time with my students. How thoughtful. Mahalo nui loa, Texaco 'Aikahi.”
