I called every mechanic in Kailua for a water pump replacement on an old truck. Without even telling me the cost of a part, they immediately quoted labor at $400+ and it would take weeks before I could go. Corey answered with a gracious quote AND on short notice took my baby in. While he worked on my old truck he spotted a few other small problems and called before he did any work and he did all of it too. My truck is a passion project I've worked on for years and this is the best she's ran. He also finished a ton of work in less than 12hours and I leave soon for some work related ventures (military). I'm from the south where good work and good mechanics are rare, Corey is bonafide and treats Marines right. I will be back here for anything outside of my understanding. Semper Fi Corey, thank you for all the help!

Corey always fits me in when I'm in a pinch. He's great very personable and always gives me a fair price. His location has also changed. He's now located next to Kailua water sports.

Can I give zero stars? Worst customer service ever. And I never complain and rarely write negative reviews. I had to get my safety inspection done first, then get my registration, then back to safety to show proof of registration. I did all this and he told me to come back after the weekend at the end of the day to finish it off. I do that and he says sorry he is busy, I ask can i make an appoint and he says "no I don't do that." I'm like ok, when do I come? He said he doesn't know and is busy. I go again two days later and he again says he's busy, i then said can i get an appointment or if not give me back my money. He says no. Sooooo he's rude and hustles people. I love supporting small businesses, but be gives it a bad name. With his personality I actually feel sorry for him cause you know he isn't a happy person. Bad and shady people rarely are.

DO NOT GO HERE! The old Man is incredibly rude and acts like it's an inconvenience for him to provide a service. Normally local small shops operate with Aloha, but he was only interested in taking my money. You get better service at jiffy lube or Firestone

I've never registered my car in Hawaii before so the process to me is very confusing. So I had just a quick question on the safety inspection so I called and asked. But the way he answered it was very confusing and so I asked politely if he could repeat himself or try explaining it a different way and he replied in a very rude and derogatory way saying he wouldn't

Went to a a safety inspection and every place i'v done a safety inspection as long as you had the official ID card for insurance, digital or phyiscal copies, you were able to do a inspection. They won't do it unless you had a physical official document sent from the insurance company. Not something you printed. And the guy I dealt with was very rude and condescending

Untrustworthy! I went in for a simple oil change, they changed my cabin air filter without permission. I guess this is what happens when you try to trust the local car shop. I wonder how many other customers they took advantage of. I will not be coming back. I highly recommend others to look elsewhere than this predatory shop.

Corey's Auto Care has always given me excellent customer service and fair pricing for vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and other services that required a mechanic. I have been taking my cars to him since 1996 when his shop was where Longs in Kailua is now, I finally found a mechanic I could TRUST! His newer location at Aikahi Shopping Center has been super convenient since I live a couple blocks away. I will always use Corey's Auto Care even if he has to relocate from the Aikahi location because he is the very best mechanic on Oahu in my opinion. Some people simply don't realize the amount of time involved in taking care of what "they think" is a simple fix. The way some cars are manufactured now days take more time to replace a part or to fix it so that will obviously cost more i.e., my battery needed replacing which I thought was simple and I tried to do it myself. It was crazy the parts that needed to be removed just to replace the battery. I decided to call Corey and let him deal with it because it was just too much trouble for me. Corey had my new battery in same day I took it in. I will Always be Faithful to Local Businesses, especially ones like Corey's Auto Care.

Took my car in for idling issues, Corey says leave it I'll check it. Not only wasn't he able to figure what my issue is, he charged me $136 for just he's best guess of what May be causing the issue. No work was actually done to my car. I could understand a small fee for attempting to fix my car but I think $136 is way to much for the little effort that was put into it.
