Everything i needed all in one place. Self checkout , so I didn't wait in any line! I added cash to my cashapp in the financial department in a snap. Great prices compared to anywhere else!

This is a nice Walmart, smaller than where we came from but they had what we needed. The grocery section is pretty small. Go to Safeway just a block away if needed. The Walmart parking entrance seems poorly laid out. It gets back up to the street pretty quickly. To avoid the backup stay to the left as you come in.

I like the new renovation, but I'm not liking how they stocked their pet supplies. They have heavy pet litter stocked up so close you can't even get it out of the shelf. On top of that, you have to literally crawl in to the shelf to grab the pet litter and those things are heavy. Other than that the rest of the store is nicely stocked.

The Kona WalMart & their famous wall of SPAM .. see photo !!Since World War ll, spam has remained an island staple. It's available everywhere. Even the McDonald's inside this Walmart, SPAM & rice is a featured meal.On the brighter side, the WalMart's in Hawaii have a huge assortment of quality Hula material for those talented enough to sew & craft. They also carry an entire department of Hawaiian based tourist items at prices far below the gift-shops. The 4 star rating is due to WalMart discontinuing their complimentary shuttle bus from the cruise ship dock to the store. This is a serious setback for crew members who need to stock up on personal items & can't afford taxi cab service. This store sits high in the hills above town & has the best unobstructed view of the Kona Coast & Pacific Ocean in all of this beautiful area's landscape.

We always stop at Walmart when we are on a cruise. They have a great selection of Hawaiian print fabric at a good price. I make Hawaiian shirts for my husband and sometimes Hawaiian print cummerbuns and ties to wear with his Tuxedo. There is always a good selection of men's and women's Hawaiian print attire. They have a good selection of sizes. The people are so friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was because there wasn't a shuttle from the ship to and from Walmart. We caught a cab, but the crew members depended on the shuttle in previous years.

I'm just happy there was a Walmart nearby to get all of your forgotten needs. We also had an emergency first aid situation and it had everything a tourist or local could need to take care of your own first aid needs. Burn aloe, bandaids, Neosporin, eye contact solution, lotion, and even New skin for cuts. ♥️It also has an amazing view of the ocean from the plaza hill edge.

Rude lady in electronics wouldn't listen to what I was shopping for. Just kept talking over me trying to tell me what I need. She was friggin wrong, arrogant and RUDE! Learn to slow down and LISTEN to the customer!

Always an entertaining experience for an Aussie, this Walmart made us appreciate our supermarkets and their staff back home. My partner wanted to pick up some Pop-Tarts and after asking three different staff and getting told three different aisle locations, we gave up in the end.Even so, exploring the bewildering array of grocery items is always fun. ?This picture was to demonstrate to my son that America has an evolved version of the Dagwood Dog. ?

Cheaper for everything compared to Safeway! A dollar or two more for the same stuff at Target. I was there around 9/10pm and it was pretty empty with lots of staff stocking products so keep the walk ways clear! Great for "affordable" touristy stuff. Don't forget to lookout for the clearance stuff!

Minus the cars, look at that view walking out of Walmart. A lot smaller than I am use a to, but I like it. Less is more.

Parking lot is always full, hard to get in and out. Service inside is typical , which is hit and miss. They do carry a lot of items unique to the islands. I do like that they hire a lot of the local seniors to meet and greet unlike many stores in the states. Mahalo and please keep Hawaii clean ?

The store is really clean. First time in Hawaii on our honeymoon. Lots of cool touristy shirts and hats, Momi at the register was super kind to us. :)

This Walmart has the Japanese Arare rice crackers I adore. Have to mail order them in Florida.

Don't go there for produce. Or fresh meat. Like a convenience store with lots of clothing and hardware items. You must bring your own bags.
