“Came in to I.P.O. a few weeks after putting new terrain tires on my 2021 4Runner, to get a 2" lift kit. After their installation, I noticed what seemed to be a new, very slight vibration in my frame and steering wheel. Thought it was from the lift kit they installed (turns out it wasn't). Jeff offered to check it out, and he did. A couple hours after dropping it off, it was ready to pick up. So, what was I problem, I asked. The front tires were out of balance, he discovered, and he rebalanced them all FOR FREE! Without my even asking! And wouldn't even accept cash on the counter. These guys are real professionals, when they step "outside of the box" to troubleshoot and get things fixed. I'll be back there anytime I have a 4WD or suspension issue!! Total trust.”

“I have lived in Kona for decades. Why I never visited R & G Tire before is a serious question. I've tried the other large competition just around the corner. It's a madhouse! Once I had to talk to the district manager in LA because the mistakes made while installing were dangerous! Two of the other competitors had not been satisfactory either. Knowing I needed front tires yet, putting it off because it was the holidays I drove to south point on New Year's Day. The roads there are a bit primitive. After passing a family coming out from Green Sand Beach with a flat tire I discovered I too had a flat. Fortunately, I didn't have to call a tow truck because a wonderful good Samaritan full of Aloha helped us change to the donut and we limped home.Dreading repeats of my previous tire purchase experiences I decided to try R & G. The minute I walked in I knew I was dealing with seasoned experts! Ryan the manager, Steve and Jessica know tires! Vehicles for that matter. As an older woman who has been taken advantage of multiple times I immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. Nothing is going to slip by the expertise of this staff!Why anyone would give them any less than SIX STARS I don't know. Everyone who came in to this busy establishment was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism! I could tell that multiple customers were longtime repeat customers. When I received my quote I was shocked that their prices were entirely comparable to the shops I had been frequenting in the past! Every one of my questions was respectfully and intelligently answered. Not always common in today's business world. My entire car was accessed and I knew exactly what to expect. Direct to the point answers. They're busy and I had to wait but, to me that's a sign of an excellent business! Next time I'll make an appointment. I'll never return to the 3 other tire businesses in Kona, or Hilo for that matter. Again, if I could give the staff at R & G 6 stars I would! Māhalo for your excellent, superb service‼”

The nice guy said no worries just have him drive down and we will hold the spot for him. We were so happy! I feel who does that?! He went out of his way to help us out. Thank you Costco Tires!
