I've been a member now for a year, and there are a lot of good things about this gym and a couple close deal breakers. Pros: Its almost never super busy, and it has a pool (although great to swim the water does seem a little murky most of the time which makes me wonder how often they clean it) - those are the main pros. Its also very friendly - lots of friendly staff that know your name and greet you and friendly gym goers. I also think the trainer I had, Roxy, was a pro. They have a snazzy work out room with a fancy video setup, and the spin class area looks modern as well. The Cons/downsides, mainly the sauna. Folks, it's impressive around here to find a gym with both a pool and sauna and you think you've scored! However the dry sauna is outdated, doesn't get that hot around 120-140 degrees fahrenheit (should be around 160-170 degrees), and the wet sauna is still broken I think. The dry sauna is small, and the wood is nasty and smelly from all the sweaty people over the years, it is very drafty as it doesn't provide a good seal around the door, and it also closes early everyday at 7pm, so its not the luxurious after workout experience you think it will be. Soooo many complaints have been made about the sauna, but their star feature has been given little upgrade attention. Members found little ways to trick the system to make it hotter, but then signs went up threatening automatic membership revoking if anyone is caught doing that. The low heat sauna is tragedy really, because it would be a really low bar for a competitor to offer something slightly better for a similar price point and have members jump ship.Update: they have since put in magnets to hold the sauna door closed so there is less draft and it does get hotter. I wish it didn't take them a year to do this. Getting fixes or equipment replacements seems to take a lot longer than they ever should.Pricing: it's pricey considering fixes and improvements take forever and will cost you to use a lot of energy to keep asking for them. The black Friday deal seems to be the best price to join if you pay for the full year it took my monthly to $50/mo. Normally they charge about $100/no in any normal non deal sign up.

Good spot for a couple drop in workouts while on vacation. Good free weights section, squat/deadlift racks, cardio equipment, spin cycles, etc.Day pass was $26. You gotta scan the QR at the door for payment and door code access. Jason was a really friendly guy who introduced himself and made me feel welcome my first morning. Carlos was friendly and helped me out when I incorrectly punched in my door code and got locked out. Everything is clean and it was quiet when I went at 7am and 4:30pm on weekdays.

It's the best option in Kona for a spa like gym with sauna, pool, and steam room. It would increase to 5 stars if they had cups for water next to the water cooler, and some blow dryers in the locker rooms.

They don't have consistent workout classes anymore. They used to have great yoga, spin, and strengthening classes and those are all gone now. It's a real shame!

They are total crooks. I cancelled my membership months ago twice once over the phone then I went in person. I just checked my credit card and they are still charging me monthly membership fees!!!At this point they have charged me around $600.00 after I cancelled I’m waiting to hear back from a manager to see if they will refund me or not but I’m super upset.

Roxie is a top notch trainer. I came in with health concerns and she was able to work with me and my special case. I was so lucky to meet her and work with her. She was able to be very tender and also kick my butt at the same time. She has left a mark on my heart forever and helped me believe in my own strength. Added bonus, her workouts helped me become unexpectedly naturally pregnant! Thank you Roxie! <3

Awesome Gym with wide range of equipment and located right off Ali drive in the heart of Kona. Plenty of cardio, free weights and machines. The gym offers good monthlyplans or pay as you go. Whenever I'm on the Island, this is my sanctuary to start my day. I believe the gym is 24 hours as you enter with a code at the door. I like coming early mornings because there is barely anyone here.
