We arrived tired and ready for a good vacation. WE GOT JUST THAT ! This place is one of the best spots I have stayed at in my time of travels. The room we stayed in was at building 4 on the top floor. It was great ! Things were in order and most important of all, clean. Plenty of room for all 6 of us, beds were comfortable, chairs, sofas, all the furniture was well kept and comfortable as well. The kitchen had all the items needed to cook and eat. There was a closet full of items we could use, such as swim goggles, fins, bags, beach chairs, even a fishing rod! If you are not a person who likes the heat, this place is not for you, there is no air-conditioning unit in this place, there are only ceiling fans throughout the rooms and comes with oscillating fans for each room. The view from the balcony was a sight to remember, especially at sunset, just amazing. On our last two days there we had a minor ant infestation on the balcony, possibly from ants finding or sensing our crumbs from eating on the balcony so go buy bug spray from the local store just in case. I would recommend this place again and again. It was a great stay.

Raid, ants, roaches, and mildew - not cool! The photos of this area are amazing. We walked into the condo #187, which was rented to us my aloha condos, the first thing we experienced were ants all over the lockbox and front door, my husband used a water bottle to clean them off so we can access the box. The strong odor of raid greeted us as we walked into the unit. Not a great impression, we figured, okay we’ll just open it up and air it out. The view was just breathtaking! I wish the owners kept the unit up, so it could be as amazing as the view. This unit is two story as with the other “townhomes” on site, the a/c was only downstairs, thus the staircase and rooms felt like walking into a sauna or a laundromat. Upstairs reeked of raid and mildew combined, we all took a shower and wanted to go to bed, the towels smelled of urine and mildew. The downstairs bathroom had no hot water, YES, we contacted the owner immediately, they didn’t reply at all, however the booking agent did, she said “Rita will be there first thing in the morning” we waited till 11:00 local time for her and she was a no call no show. Therefore we went to the Hilton and stayed there. As I said, the views were amazing, no where to relax downstairs in the living room, as the couch was made for two people not 4 adults. This was a disappointment x a million. PS. The owner still has not responded to any of my 16 requests (phone and email) .

Bed bugs. Poor beach access to unsavory beach. Advertised as '8 min walk' to Kahaluu beach, but you cannot follow the shore (going out the resort and to the road is closer to a half hour ... you might as well just drive). This place is very dated and is a poor walking location.

VI owns one or two units in this complex that are townhomes that back up to Ali’i Drive. We were assigned to one of them and then told that was the unit that had been traded into RCI so they couldn’t do anything about it. RCI had no idea this unit existed, but said these things happen and washed their hands of the issue. Only accept a trade into this ‘resort’ if you know the exact unit number. The two non-resort units are #30 and #35. Resort units specify a building and then a room number.

Been coming to KSR for years. Our preference is a first floor unit. Very nice set up in the units, well appointed and maintained. Each is different, so go through the offerings to see the view and such. There are Veronica gas grills set up to grill on. Withe the Farmer's Market close, you can get really fresh fish for the grill. Great snorkeling is closeby. A slow drive to town for shopping or heading north but going south for South Point or the Volcano is easy.

Stayed here for a month in Sept 2021. Beautiful grounds, many tropical plants and trees meticulously maintained, and a lovely pool. Just sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean was all that I wanted. A few minutes away is the Keauhou shopping center with th very excellent KTA grocery store, a Longs Drugs, and a Saturday farmer's market for local organic produce. Plus several decent restaurants. As a solo traveler I felt very safe here. And very happy!

This out of the busy but close to food location was great with amazing views. The grounds are beautifully manicured and quiet. Nice pool, grills, outdoor shower, beach is close, and great spot on the rocks. The condo was clean and well stocked. I wish they gave shampoo and conditioner but the store was up the road for shopping and cooking. Nice to sit on the quiet patio and sip some local coffee. This is a great little spot to visit with a central location to a major road for travel/ exploration.

Like everyone else from the mainland, we booked two weeks in Kona, staying at KKSR. First time at here and didnt disappoint! Week one: three people in a one bedroom-pretty tight but, what the heck! Second week in a beautiful two bedroom with a massive lanai that we lived on! Plusses: 2 bedroom, nice pool, beach access, access to Keauhou and areas south, distance from town hubbub. Downside for us:no beachfront (knew that going in & still beautiful view from 2 bd!), distance from downtown hubbub ( I know +/-), no green flash on property! :-) Make sure to visit Keauhou Saturday market-Tuna, cookies, fresh fruit & veggies!

Beautiful place to stay. We had a two bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms. It was very spacious. Had all the ammentities and a full kitchen with all the gadgets. There's a grocery store, .movie theater, drug store and several eateries just up the street. The beach is in walking distance. The only negative thing I can say is the check in process was very slow. Standing outside of the very small office in the sun was no fun.

Don't even hesitate to book this property. If you have never been to Kona, this is the perfect place. Definitely get an ocean front building it is absolutely worth it. The facilities are beautiful with landscaping to rival a botanical garden, a private small black sand beach, immaculate tennis courts and a nearby surf and boogie board beach. We stayed here as we are surfers and divers and the location was perfect. We also used the pool a bit and it was perfectly nice but nothing to keep us occupied all day. The condos all seem to have the same floor plan - plenty of room for up to 6 people. The sun sets directly over the ocean front view - we ate on the lanai for all meals as we could not find a restaurant with a better view.
