Best supermarket we have been to, both on Oahu and Big Island. A bit pricey but great selection and very friendly staff.

First store I’ve been to in forever that won’t let me bring a drink into the store - couldn’t bring the coffee I was finishing in the store, so finished out front.Friendly staff so kinda made up for the front door experienceSome prices are better than Safeways but still pricey but I know a lot of that is being on an island.Starting to realize some stuff is better bought here and other stuff at Costco, and other stuff at Safeway on sale ?

This Grocery Store is local to Hawai’i and originated in Hilo! Well organized and stocked, local produce (for the most part)Get ready for stickers shock. You do have to pay for bags. Liquor is expensive! Beware all the tasty I’ve cookies, they’ll run your bill up! ?

Hit the Safeway when we first landed because KTA was closed, but was so happy to patronize the KTA afterwards. Amazing poke bar, amazing local prepared foods. And oh so much spam. Great beer selection as well as Japanese snacks. This store makes me happy.

Loveeed this grocery store! I came here about every other day during my trip. The poke is so good!! It was about $16 for rice, spicy tuna, and marinated spicy salmon (my fave). The ube mochi donut balls are also a MUST. I still think about them all the time. I would go back to Kona just for those!! Sushi is also great. And of course lots of great snacks, souvenirs (I got a few magnets), and everything you could need.

I’ve been to KTA a few times over the last two weeks. Great store with some fun extras. If you’re looking fresh sushi, kimchi, gobo… they got it! The vegetables look super fresh. The meats look great too. You can buy a gallon of Pog super cheap. My kids were in heaven. Alcohol prices change by the day tho…. I bought some Kim Crawford one day at $14.99. Two days later it was $18.99…. The store could use some updating. But not that big of a deal. Staff are friendly. I’m curious to know why they have a security guard posted at the door. Doesn’t seem like they have troubles. Anyhow.. great store!

Friendly staff and a good selection of veggies and fruits! Very convenient to get staples like rice, condiments, juice, etc since it was walking distance next to where we stayed! Delicious, fresh poke that tastes comparable to poke stops like Da Poke Shack for a fraction of the price! The first few days on the island, my family drove to restaurants for poke, but the last few days we just got our poke from KTA! I recommend the Salmon Wasabi here.

First visit to a KTA though I've visited the Big Island 3 times. We arrived on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and visited the KTA Wed. morning. Not sure what to do for Thanksgiving dinner I was advised many places were booked and restaurants may be pricey. (what isn't here).Visiting the KTA deli I saw they had a Thanksgiving meal special. Turkey, mashed potatoes or white rice, bread stuffing, gravy and macaroni salad for $12.99. The serving was enough for two average eaters. More than enough for two older folks. And, it was quite tasty. Even rewarmed the next day. I'll give it the best bang for your buck award. The store overall was clean, well stocked and a 10 minute drive from our Kona resort

Good selection of produce and groceries. Better prices than Safeway or other stores I visited during this visit to the Island

Opened a little early and ready for service. Pastries were devious. Shelves were well stocked. Sushi made fresh.
