My toddler and I both love this place. Very safe, fun environment. I read some negative reviews here and honestly very surprised. I only had positive interactions with the coaches and the owner, she seems as a very sweet lady and loves kids. My 3 year old (almost 4 now) have been coming here for a year and he talks about it all week. The place is very big, I imagine children need to follow rules as safety is number one in gymnastics. Next month my son will begin to come here on his own and if he tries to do something unsafe, I hope he gets told firmly right away that he needs to follow instructions and be safe. I highly recommend this place for any toddler to help with motor skills development. You don't have to plan for your child to become gymnast to do gymnastics for general development as a toddler. 10+ looking forward to this Saturday's class (:

If I could leave a 0 I would. The owner is a mean and rude lady. I brought my 2 little grandkids here for the first time and we did a drop in which is so expensive! The kids hated it and never wanted to go back. They said the lady is so mean and they were so scared. What a horrible experience for them. They had been so excited to go! Now every time they see the place they bring up the bad experience. They were only 4 and 5 at the time and they just would love to go to go to gymnastics and have fun not be in a comptetion on the first day. It was like boot camp for kiddies. Never want to deal with her again.

ReviewI purchased a package from this business specifically because it said it would never expire. Being a full-time mom, who’s partner is often out of town makes it difficult for me to attend different classes, and I noticed that when I first looked at the schedule it was quite limited. Over the months, my partner was away more and more due to an illness in the family. The schedule for this company also became more limited, eventually only offering one class that ends after my child’s bed time. I reached out to the phone number listed for the business to ask if my daughter and I could attend classes together on my one package in order to use them up. Initially, I was told that was acceptable. Then a few days later, I received a text telling me that I would have to use up all classes within a week even though I had stated I would be leaving town to spend the holidays with our loved one with stage 4 cancer. That individual then went into Schedulicity and added an expiration that would occur in a matter of days while we will be out of town. Because I was originally told that my daughter & I would be able to take classes together I shared that with her and we were looking forward to it. The one class we were able to attend was well taught, and fun. There are no other options for aerial on the island, but as I said, our teacher was good. However, it is cruel and unprofessional to treat us as they did. I ended up paying $260 for one class which is not ok. They could’ve easily given us a few weeks after returning to use the classes. It saddens me that there are people like this.

Kona Aerials have Dedicated coaches, gymnasts and parents. Everyone works hard and the teams are supportive of each other.

My seven year old daughter had been begging to do gymnastics for a couple months. We live about an hour away but finally I gave in and signed her up. Within a month she no longer wants to do the class because as she says, "the instructors aren't nice," and this is coming from a girl who loves everyone.I'm proud she came to this conclusion on her own because if she didn't I was going to pull her out anyway. The instructors here are ridiculous. I'm not sure what they think they're doing, but yelling at kids, using shame and threats, and just being condescending a-holes to little kids is unacceptable. I've coached a number of sports and never seen anyone ever act like this toward their kids. It's so sad to see a kid get completely turned off from something she loves doing because the instructors have no understanding of proper, positive ways to work with children.I read the other yelp review on this operation and I wish I'd listened. Save your kid the disappointment and take them to the Happy Feet soccer camp where the instructors know how to interact with kids.

Should have been called Kona Mentals Gymnastics... The owner is nuts!!! She has no skills with training children. Anyone can yell at kids, that's not training, that's abusive. My granddaughter left crying because the lady yelled at her so badly. This isn't training for the Olympics. If she can't encourage children in a positive way to have fun doing gymnastics, she will never be a good teacher. Better to spend time playing with your kids at the park for free then paying for the abuse at this place.

Warm and fuzzy has nothing to do with it. I've coached gymnastics for over 20 years and I do not take a warm and fuzzy approach. The owner of this gym is abusive to young children, her team kids, coaches and parents. Her behavior is appalling. Many parents stand up for her even though they agree in private that she is out of control because this is the only gym on this side of the island. Choose another sport, this woman is traumatizing. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Wow is all I can say. Apparently this is the only gymnastics place in town and the owner has no interest in drawing more business or even show common decency. Even people who go here regularly described her as a total, um, lets say "rude person", and only tolerate it because there's nowhere else to go.

Really controlling and negative energy at this place. The younger coaches have picked it up from the owner. Obedience is all they seem to care about.

The phone number listed seems to be someone's personal cell phone. Doesn't matter because they never answer anyway. In the message it says that you'll get a faster response texting rather than leaving a voicemail, but I've left several messages and sent many texts and have never received a reply. Now after reading the other negative reviews here, maybe I lucked out and saved my child some trauma.

Huge Shout out to Kona Aerials!!! They let my daughter train as a guest while we are on vacation. The staff was very welcoming and super friendly. All the girls were nice and accepting. In the just the short time we spent there I could see that they are running a great program! Thanks Kona Aerials for all your kind hospitality!! We so appreciate you!

I love this gym! I'm a fan. We were visiting from the mainland for 3 weeks. My daughter has been basically teaching herself gymnastics by watching YouTube and trying things out. She attends a "social" gymnastics place that meets once a week for 1 hour but has been closed with the shutdown. Before our trip I contacted Kona Aerials. Nanette was amazing. She took the time to talk to me about what they could offer. While in Hawaii my daughter joined their summer camp and had such a blast. They did an amazing job helping her to strengthen her body and teach her fundamentals of gymnastics. They fine tuned her technique and she still had a blast. Not only we're the coaches amazing, but so we're the other moms. Even tho we were only around for a couple of weeks, many of the moms made me feel welcome. Thank you Kona Aerials for opening your arms up to us and making us feel welcome. We can't wait to find a new gym at home and really push her gymnastic future ahead. Thanks for giving us the push to do this!

They are wonderful with these kids! My daughter pays attention and is so enthusiastic about learning the correct way to do all of these fundamental movements . I recommend all girls and boys start gymnastics for the agility and basics of body movement . Love them!
